"Please, Y/N, I am begging you. Be on your best behavior." You gave your father an innocent smile. "Of course, Father. I shall be the most well behaved lady in the world." Your father sighed, knowing that your words were the furthest thing from the truth. It wasn't that you were unruly. You were just rebellious.

As soon as you could, you seemed to forget the fact that you were a lady of House Y/L/N. You would often change from your beautiful dresses into trousers and a tunic. You would let your hair fly in the wind as your road your horse. You would sneak away to watch knights and bannermen training, sometimes even joining them. No matter what your father said to you, he couldn't break your spirit. A spirit that Jaime Lannister would soon come to know very well indeed.

Meanwhile, in the Great Room of Casterly Rock, Tywin was telling Tyrion, Cersei, and Jaime of the impending arrival of you and your family. "I want you to keep an eye on the daughter, Jaime. I've heard she's got a spirit no man can tame. She'll need someone to keep her out of trouble." Jaime bit the inside of his cheek. The last thing the knight wanted to do was babysit some stuck up lady. Still, he knew he couldn't argue with his father or it would be his head. "Of course I shall do my best, Father," he replied just as a messenger arrived to let them know that your carriage had been seen coming up the road.

The Lannisters all moved outside to greet you and your family. Jaime stood next to Cersei as the carriage pulled to a stop. Your father climbed out first, followed by an older woman that Jaime assumed was your mother. "Come along, Y/N," he heard Lord Y/L/N say. You stepped out of the carriage and Jaime simply stared. Your eyes barely even glanced up at Casterly Rock, which was unusual. Instead, they wandered over the Lannister family. First Tywin, the Tyrion and Cersei, and finally, they landed on Jaime. Your gaze froze him to his spot. He almost forgot to greet your parents properly. There was just something about you.

Your (e/c) eyes seemed to take in everything and nothing at the same time. They sparkled with an emotion Jaime couldn't quite place. Your lips held a natural smirk that told Jaime you were up to no good. That maybe you would find a way to get into trouble no matter what. Jaime could tell that the "perfect lady" thing you had going on was false. There was something wild hidden beneath your lovely face. Right then and there, Jaime knew he had his work cut out for him.

He was right. He lost track of you within the first ten minutes of your arrival. And every day you were at Casterly Rock, Jaime managed to find you in all sorts of unladylike situations. Once, you had wandered into a brothel claiming that you merely wanted to see if they were any different than the brothels back home. You had also snuck into the kitchens to snack before dinner. Or so you said. Jaime later found out that you had actually decided to play a prank on poor Tyrion. Luckily, the youngest Lannister took it in stride and laughed along with you. And that was the least of it. Jaime was at his wits' end by the time you had been there for a month.

"Where has she got to now?" Jaime asked himself as he wandered through his home looking for you. "Lost our charming young lady yet again, have you?" Tyrion asked and Jaime sighed. "Yes. If this doesn't stop, Father will have my head." Tyrion shrugged. "I doubt it. You do know why Father tasked you with watching over Lady Y/N, don't you?" Jaime's brows furrowed. "Because you would encourage her mischief?" Tyrion nodded. "Well yes, that. But he also wants to form an alliance with House Y/L/N. What better way than by bringing the houses closer together. Say...through marriage?"

"Marriage? Dear brother, I think all that wine has finally gone to your head." Tyrion let out a laugh. "Perhaps it has. I'm not saying that Father plans to marry you off to Y/N. It would be your choice of course. But he certainly wants the two of you to get close." With a brief nod, Tyrion began to walk away. Before he got too far, he looked back at Jaime. "Oh, and I saw Y/N a few moments ago. She was heading for the training yard." Jaime sighed and headed that way.

Sure enough, that was where Jaime found you. You were sitting next to the training yard, looking bored out of your mind. You sighed as Jaime came and sat next to you. Jaime followed your gaze to where the two soldiers were training. "You want to learn?" he asked suddenly, making you look up in surprise. "Jaime! Forgive me. I didn't realize you were there." Jaime smiled.

"Would you like to learn?" You smirked at him. "What make you think I don't already know how to fight? Your soldiers simply refuse to give me the time of day. I think they are afraid of the humiliation." Jaime fought back a chuckle at the determination in your voice. "Come on," he said, offering a hand. You took it with an uneasy look. Jaime lead you over to your horses. You asked him where you going, but he didn't answer.

Jaime lead you to a secluded area where the two of you could have some privacy. "Is this where you decide to kill me, Jaime?" you quipped. Jaime rolled his eyes. "I thought this might be the only way I can actually accomplish the task my father gave me of watching over you. Since you seem content to sneak off to watch or join in the fighting, I thought we might train a little ourselves. If you're amiable." You grinned up at him. "I'd like that very much. Just don't cry when you lose, Jaime." Jaime laughed and the two of you began. As you sparred, Tyrion's words echoed in Jaime's head. Would the two of you really end up getting married one day? Who knew? But what Jaime did know was that, right then, he was content to watch over you.
