You shifted uncomfortably when you felt eyes on you once again. You cursed your friend for picking this particular bar for your girls' night. Now, she was forty minutes late and you were getting impatient. Ever since you walked in the door, one guy kept staring at you and sending you drinks. You turned them down, but that didn't stop him from trying. You were getting really annoyed that he wasn't taking the hint.

You noticed someone sit on the stool next to you. You glanced over and saw a tall, brawny man. He had scarring on one side of his face, giving him an air of danger. When he turned to you, you quickly shifted your gaze. You didn't want him to think you were staring at his face. You didn't want to make him feel bad. Instead, you looked back toward the door, hoping to see your friend. You didn't.

Before you could turn back to the drink in front of you, the man that had been sending drinks your way was next to you. "You hurt my feelings, sweetheart." You rolled your eyes. He thought he slick, oozing oily charm. "I'm sure you'll be fine. Go find someone else to bother. I'm waiting for my friend," you told him. "I can wait with you. We can get to know one another." You downed your drink and got up. "No thanks." You left the bar and hurried to the bathroom.

In the ladies room, you shot off a quick text to your friend, telling her that you were leaving if she wasn't there in five minutes. You were frustrated and felt like she'd blown you off. After splashing some water on your face, you left the bathroom, only to run into Mr. Skeez himself. The look in his eyes was positively predatory and it frightened you. However, you weren't going to let him see that. "What do you want?" you snapped, crossing your arms over your chest.

"I told you. I want to get to know you." This guy just wasn't taking no for an answer. "And I said, no thanks. Goodbye." You moved to push passed him, but he stopped you. The fake smile on his face had fallen and was replaced by a scowl. "Listen here. I paid good money for those drinks and you basically threw them in my face. I think I deserve an apology at the least." You glared. "I don't owe you anything. I didn't do anything wrong. Now let me go and move out of the way."

The man let out a growl, but another deep voice kept him from saying whatever insult he was going to. "The lady asked ya ta let her go. I suggest ya do it before I make ya." You looked over to see the scarred man from the bar standing there with his arms crossed over his barrel chest. Now that he was standing up, you swore he had to be nearly seven feet tall. A very intimidating figure indeed.

You watched the face of the man holding you turn from red with anger to white with fear. He let go and practically ran from the bar. "Thank you," you said to the tall man. He nodded once and turned to walk away. "I'm Y/N," you called over the thumping music. He turned back and took a step closer to you. "Sandor." You smiled up at him. "Thank you again, Sandor." With that, you left the bar thinking you would never see Sandor again. You were wrong.

Throughout the next week or so, you kept running into Sandor. At the grocery store, at the gym and even once at another club in the area. Whenever you saw him, you'd greet him with a smile. After the second time you ran into him, you struck up a conversation and soon that became a habit too. He didn't seem to mind too much except for the fact that it was obvious he didn't want to stay any one place too long. People stared and you could tell it made him uncomfortable. So, one day you decided to do something about it.

This time, when you saw him at the store, you took a deep breath and asked, "Sandor? I was wondering if, maybe, you'd like to have dinner with me?" He blinked in surprise. "What?" You felt yourself deflate. "I mean...you don't have to or anything. I was just wondering." You were too busy looking at your shoes to notice the small smile on his face. "Would ya stop blatherin' on, woman? I was just surprised is all. I didn't say no." You grinned up at him.

"Does that mean yes?" He nodded. "Wonderful. Instead of going out, I could cook for us. I know being out in public for too long makes you uncomfortable." He agreed and you gave him your number. "I'll see you Friday then. Goodbye, Sandor." Sandor watched you walk away, still trying to shake off the shock at the fact that you wanted to go out with him. Suddenly, he couldn'twait for Friday. unYK
