Chapter 33

After sometime they broke the hug with a content smile on their faces. Karishma said with a playful tone "Waise kuch aur surprise bhi hai hamare paas, dekhna chahengi?"

Haseena smiled with disbelief "Karishma, aur kitne surprise dengi, itna kaafi tha hamare liye."

Karishma pointed towards the balloons with a mischievous smile. Haseena looked in that direction and as soon as she lifted the bunch of balloons, she found a box with a beautiful ring and a file kept there.

She looked at Karishma with a dazed expression while Karishma just picked up the box and pulled out the ring in her hand. Haseena couldn't form words in her mouth for a while but finally uttered being a bit restless "Karishma..aap ye ring.. itni mehngi ring leke aayi hain..aur yeh iss file me kya hai."

Karishma showed her palms to ask her to relax a bit and said in a calm tone holding her left hand in hers "Yeh ring humne khaas aapke liye banwayi hai. Aur itne khaas mauke pe de rahe hain aapko. Hum aapke rahenge humesha, aur ye iss baat ka saboot hai. Ye na ek wada hai hamari taraf se aapko ki aaj se, balki abhi se hamari har khushi, har sukh par, humse jyada aapka adhikar rahega. Aur bhagwan se hum ye dua karenge ki aapka har dard, har takleef bhagwan humein de de. Hum Khushi khushi aapki saari balayein apne sar par lenge."

Saying this she smoothly slid the ring on her ring finger. Haseena was just looking at her speechlessly with teary eyes.

Karishma now picked up the file and forwarded it to Haseena with a smile. Haseena took it with a doubtful look & as she opened it, her face was flushed with anger & tears started rolling down on her face.

She looked at her with a hurt expression & shouted pushing her harshly "Mol laga rahi hai aap hamare pyaar ka, hamare rishte ka. Kyu kiya aisa, jawab dijiye. Agar ye sab karna tha toh pehle bataya hota, hum nahi rakhte aapse rishta."

Karishma said with a pleading tone "Aap galat samajh rahi hai, humari ye mansha nhi thi iske peeche. Hum jab se aapke sath rishte me aaye hain, uske kaafi pehle hi humne ye tay kiya tha, ki jo koi bhi hamara jeevansathi hoga hum ye ghar jo ki sirf hamara hai, uska adha hissa hum uske naam kar denge."

Haseena again yelled "lekin kyu, kya zaroorat thi iss sab ki, kya aap yeh jatana chahti hain ki paise, pyar se bhi jyada maayne rakhte hain hamare liye."

Karishma nodded frantically in No but haseena quickly moved far from her and sat on the floor with rage building inside her.

Karishma took a deep breath and moved towards haseena. Haseena looked away in an exasperated manner.

Karishma said sitting in front of her on her knees with a cracking tone "Humara rishta India me legal nahi hai. Aur duniya me hamara aapke alawa koi nahi hai. Agar kabhi hum nahi rahe.." Her voice broke as tried to speak further.

Haseena quickly looked at her with displeasure & uneasiness, held her hand tightly with skipped beats, shaking her head negatively.

Karishma placed her other palm on her hand and caressed it with love. She continued with her cracked voice composing herself a bit "Agar kabhi hum nahi rahe, toh hum yeh nahi chahte ki aapke paas hamari koi nishani tak na ho. Hamara rishta hamara Maan hai..Hum yahi chahte hain, ki hamari har cheez utni hi aapki ho, jitne ke hum khud hain. Legally bhi koi kabhi hamara rishta chahe bhi toh bhi khatam na kar paye. Pati patni ko to sab adhikar mile hai kanoon se, magar humein nahi. Isiliye ye kiya humne."

Haseena was listening to her attentively, controlling her emotions somehow. Karishma took a brief pause and continued after taking a deep breath "Haseena, ab jab aap hamara parivaar ban gayi hain..to kya humein haq nahi hai, ki hum aapko kuch aisa de sakein jo hamare pyaar ki aur hamari nishani ho, ek achi yaad ho. Taaki hum abhi nahi, lekin kayi saalon baad bhi agar kabhi chale gaye duniya se toh bhi hamara naam baaki reh jaye duniya me, aapke naam se jud kar zinda rahein hum. Bus isiliye kiya ye sab humne."
