As Wren stepped out of the building into the dimly lit parking garage, her heart raced with anticipation.

Jungkook: I'm here.

She had received his text minutes before and now she was walking towards his car, the soft hum of the engine echoing off the concrete walls of the garage. With each step closer, Wren's pulse quickened, her mind racing with a thousand questions and uncertainties about their date.

As she reached the car, Wren hesitated for a moment, her hand hovering over the door handle. She could feel the weight of Jungkook's presence inside, his aura radiating through the tinted windows like a magnetic force pulling her in.

Summoning her courage, Wren reached out and pulled open the door. And as she climbed into the passenger seat beside Jungkook, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation swirling in the pit of her stomach.

"Good morning, Princess."

The nickname sent her pulse hammering and she did her best to look calm.

"Good morning. I hope you're not taking me hiking because I have horrible balance." She realized that her banter with him was her way of coping with the nervousness he elicited within her.

"I've chosen the most dangerous cliff in all the country. Don't worry." He winked and she rolled her eyes at his sarcasm.

"But seriously though, where are we going because you said "outdoorsy" and so I chose a t-shirt and jeans and my tennis shoes. I really hope I'm not going to be covered in mud."

He chuckled as he pulled out of the garage onto the highway.

"You're not going to get muddy. You're dressed perfectly and this is going to be fun, I promise."

She couldn't help but admire his outfit. He wore a loose white t-shirt and jean shorts and his hair was pulled back into a sort of man bun and boy was it sexy. She was unsure when she got into man buns but she was most definitely into them because she couldn't stop looking at his exposed forehead and the way the hairstyle made his jawline more pronounced.

She tried not to look at him the whole ride. But she glanced at him several times on the hour commute, the scenery outside the car window transformed from bustling city streets to winding mountain roads. The anticipation grew with each passing mile, and when they finally arrived at their destination—a secluded house nestled by a tranquil lake in the heart of the mountains—Wren's breath caught in her throat.

The beauty of the landscape took her by surprise, leaving her in awe of the serene surroundings. The shimmering waters of the lake reflected the golden hues of the setting sun, casting a warm glow over the tranquil scene. It was as if they had stumbled upon a hidden paradise, a secret oasis tucked away from the chaos of the outside world.

Jungkook opened her door and Wren got out, her feet crunching on the gravel drive.

"Um where are we?" she asked.

"It's a cabin," he said.

"Your cabin?" she pressed and he merely smiled.

"I like to come here when I need to get away."

He led her up the front steps and inside the cozy little house, where the scent of pine and fresh air mingled with the warmth of home. She followed him to the kitchen, where he grabbed a couple of water bottles from the fridge, and then they set their things down on the counter.

"So, you ready to go out on the water?"

"Water?" She was struggling to grasp what was going on. He had taken her to his private cabin, to go on a boat on his private little lake. This was much different from a movie night date. This was something that happened in movies.
