The weekend meant many things to Nico. Mainly it was free time and the ability to stay up until three watching gods-know-what, but this weekend Bianca was coming to visit. And with auditions happening next week, Bianca was precisely who he needed to calm the fuck down.

But first, he had to get through the rest of the read-through.

Hazel was forced to stay with him. She didn't have the metro card, and she didn't have any cash on her. Nico would have to explain the importance of money in New York to her later. He also needed to remind her about Jules-Albert. But, for now, Hazel could quietly suffer in the back of the auditorium.

Hazel rested her head on his shoulder.

"Is my hair in your face?" she asked.

"It's in a ponytail."

"A puff-tail." She gestured to her curls. "It isn't a long luxurious pony. It's a ball of frizz and coils."

"Same difference."

She gave a small laugh before constructing another triangle.

"Okay, everyone," Mr. Apollo said. "Let's get through the second act, then we can leave. Got it?"

He looked at Nico and gave him a thumbs up. Nico returned the gesture.

He put his capo on the second fret and played an A sharp. Then, he started off the song with an Am.

Nico sat in the back seat of the car, watching his house come into view.

He didn't plan on staying up too late. After all, he'd just stayed at school for an extra three hours, and he certainly will not be doing any homework until the next morning.

When he arrived, he didn't even bother to wait for Hazel, who admired the lands at night. Nico just wanted to fucking pass out.

He tipped Jules-Albert, ignored the look of betrayal from Hazel (though Nico supposed he could have given her twenty bucks for a taxi, he didn't really want to), and made his jolly, old way to his room.

As he walked through the living room, he was interrupted by Persephone asking about his day. She was blocking the way to the stairs and had a glass of red wine in her hands.

She also had a look. Like she knew something Nico didn't.

"It was fine."

"Anything interesting happen? And where is Hazel at?" She looked past Nico in search of his sister.

"No."

Persephone raised a brow.

Nico looked at his adoptive mother. "What?"

"Nothing," she said. "Percy just told Paul, who told me, that you were paired up with a really cute boy in one of your classes. Percy mentioned something about..."

Nico burst out laughing. "Will? Holy shit--"

"Language."

"Sorry. It's just." He paused again to laugh. "Wow. Percy thought I liked Will? Of all people? Oh my gods that is hilarious."

Persephone smiled and let Nico pass to the upstairs region, the very same region that contained his bed. "Okay," she said.

Later, just after he showered, he could hear Persephone and Hades talking.

"He likes him," Persephone said.

"Did he say it?"

"No, but I could tell."

"How?" Hades laughed.

"Adoptive motherly instinct."

Hades snorted. "Of course."

Nico sighed. He'd yell at Percy later.

hey y'all

sorry for the short chapter

it is very hard to keep up with school, two stories, a possible original, and be mentally stable.

also we all in in real life Nico would not exist. According to actual mythology Hades never cheated on Persephone. (I know some people say that he cheated with Minthe, but a lot more sources deny it)

so I made nico and Bianca our greek otp's adoptive kids. deal with it

ok that's all

love y'all
