I answered the phone after hearing it ring for the 12th time.
"Hello?"
"Ma where df u at? Thought you wanted to da park today?"
"Von I'm on punishment I can't come outside"
I heard him laughing while trying not to drop the phone.
"Wtf Funny ?!"
"Ma you 17 & still get on punishment? Yo mama bogus as hell"
"Ik"
"Ight well ig I'll see u soon Ma"
Before he hung up, I didn't want to upset my boyfriend.
So I came up with a plan.
"How about you come over?"
"Ma ain't cho momma at work ? "
"Yeah. But she don't get off until 5, it's 12. Come on bae"
"Ight . Hea I come"
"Okay"
I hung up and checked my siblings room to make sure they was sleeping.
They talk extremely too much.
Especially my little sister .
It's always been my big brother, me, my little brother and my little sister.
We was all we had. Our daddy was not alive . He got killed 2 years ago.
Our mother was barley home cause she was "working".
Based of the streets, she's been working alright.
And I hope that's not the case.
Anyway, my siblings were sleep. So I headed downstairs to went for Von.
Just when I thought all my siblings were sleep, my big brother Nick was in the kitchen cooking.
"Fuck you doing up , Monee ?"
"Huh?"
"Huh? *mocks* I ain't stutter , I said 'tf is you doing up?'
He does too fucking much for me.
"Nick why you always gotta do too much damn? I can't be up all of a sudden? It's the summer, what else ima do but be up?"
He stops cooking and turns around looking me.
"Aye , Monee? Ion know wtf been going with chu lately, but what yo damn mouth. Now when I ask you some shit, fuck you get a attitude for?"
"Because Nick! You always gotta ask me 1,000 questions. Like damn?! When are you going back to school?! You irritating asf" I spat.
Nick and I always had a up and down relationship.
I just felt like he was trying to hard to be the dad we never had.
Like when our dad was alive, it wasn't like this.
We was a big family and every since then, Nick changed. So did I.
"Aye Monee, I'm not them lil hoes or lil fucking niggas u be on the block with. I'll slap the shit outta u. I'm 19. I'm a grown ass man. U gone show me some damn respect! " Nick says approaching me.
