He groaned and ran a hand through his hair. Tapas stifled a grin and cleared his throat, obviously trying to control his laughter. Pati babu glowered at him before replying.
"Bondita mujhe ispar zara sa bhi bharosa nahi hai" he pointed at Tapas.
"Lekin mujhe hai" I replied.
"Bondita yeh ek sajish ho sakta hai"
"Aur yeh hamare rachi huyi hai" I completed.
"Bondita socho! Kya pata yeh Greenwood se milkar-"
"Nahi Senior! Agar mein kisike sath de raha hoon toh woh sirf Roy Chowdhary parivar ka hai" Tappu replied confidently.
I raised an eyebrow at Pati babu who seemed adamant on his stand. Sighing, I turned to Tapas.
"Tappu tum tayyariyaan karo, ham kal hi jayenge" I ordered.
He looked at Pati babu for permission.
"Senior aur koyi rasta bacha nahi hai hamare paas... Ap mujhpar bharosa nahi karte, theek hai. Lekin risk lene keliye bhi tayyar nahi hai toh..." he trailed off.
Pati babu flared his nostrils and stood up.
"Theek hai. Aunga mein... Lekin agar kuch bhi galat hua na, toh chodunga nahi mein tumhe. Yaad rakhna!" he warned and strode away.
"Tappu... Pata nahi Pati babu ko kya ho jata hai. Kabhi kabhi na, bohot teda ho jata hai... Tum dil pe mat lena. Mana ki aise sab baat karte hai lekin dil ke bohot ache hai. Unhe zaroor kuch galatfaimi huyi hai jise mein bohot jald door kar dungi. Tum chinta mat karo" I tried consoling him.
"Arre Barrister babu ab tum mujhe mat sikhao! Mein janta hoon Senior ko!" he dismissed me off and strolled away like nothing happened.

"Ham yahan kyun aaye hai?" Pati babu enquired.
"Kyunki usne yahan aane ko bola tha" Tappu replied looking here and there.
"Kisne?" Pati babu imitated him.
"Hira ne"
"Rudhira kyun aa rahi hai?" I asked.
"Samjh jaogi tum Barrister babu, bas aane do use" he replied annoyed.
"Sh sh"
We heard few hissing sounds from somewhere and after looking thoroughly the whole perimeter, Tappu spotted Rudhira behind a tree. We walked over to her. She was wearing a black gown with a black scarf to cover her head.
"Sab mil gaya?" Tappu enquired, taking the backpack she had.
"Haan" she replied.
"Yeh aise kapde kyun pehne hai? Aur ham yahan kya kar rahe hai?" pati babu enquired again.
