Chapter 28: Music class

3rd person POV

The last lesson soon came. Everyone is now sitting waiting for their music (instruments) teacher to comes in.

"Hello everyone today I want to see what you are made off" he says "so everyone pick an instrument"

Martha watches as everyone hurries to pick an instrument. She watches as every instrument is taken. People tend to avoid the piano so she decides to pick it knowing very well nobody else would.

Cass, Steph and Damian smile giving her a knowing look.

"Ahh somebody finally picks the piano so new girl come on show us what you got" the teacher says overly enthusiastically making Martha sigh.

"Just my luck" she whispers to herself. She can see Jon chuckle from a distance. She glares at him stretching her fingers.

She starts the melody of her new song. Fingers slowly slowly flowing over the keys making. She hums along with the sad melody filling the room. She puts her whole heart into the keys.

The song comes to an end leaving the whole room in tears.

"Remind me to play a happier song next time" she whispers earning a nod from Jon.

"Wonderful uhh..." The teacher says.

"Martha" Marinette says "Martha star Wayne"

"Ok our little melodic star" he says smiling "who hurt you"

"Like every musician I have my secrets" she says giving him a small sad smile a tear escaping her eyes. she separates from the piano as the teacher makes his way to the next student.

Martha immediately head towards Jon who immediately raps his hands around her.

"It's okay starshine" he says.

"Need help" she asks pointing at his guitar.

"Yes I'm actually not that good" Jon says.

"Then why pick it" she asks giggling.

"It's the only one I know something about" he says making her laugh.

"Stick with me and you will be able to play every instrument in here" she says.

"That's a lot" Jon says as she takes a guitar strapping it over herself.

"Yeah I had quite a few musicians in my self built family in Paris" she says. "Follow my lead"

She begins to strum the guitar slowly Jon following not so far behind.

"Good" says "you remember what you did" she asks earning a nod.

"Good now follow my rhythm" she says begining to strum the guitar once again.

They play it in the same pace making the sweet little melody flow through the music room. Everyone's attention immediately turns towards them. Watching them slowly strum their guitars.

Martha smiles as they finish the song. She didn't except to hear clapping coming from the class. She immediately blushes from embarrassment.

"You did well" she says to Jon making him gape in surprise.

"Me are you seriously going to say I did great that was all you" he says shaking his head. "I thought you were the trophy wife" he mumbles making her giggle.

"Very impressive Martha and Jon" the teacher says going back to teaching how to use the instruments they had picked.

"Turns out your trophy wife in this relationship" she says giggling.

"Wow so you admit we in a relationship" he says.

"Of some sort" she answers eyes shining.

Their friends and family cooed at their cuteness.

"So where did that tune come from" he asks.

"A song I'm working on" she says.

"What are you some kind of music sensation" Jon jokes.

"You can say that" she answers.

"Wait what" he asks.

"You can just say that I am a girl of many talents and secret identities" she says.

"Oh yeah name one" he says challenging her.

"MDC - Marinette Dupain-Cheng my old name" she says "now turned into MSW - Martha star Wayne"

His jaw drops at this.

"You kidding" he asks making her giggle. "You reacted way better than my siblings"

"Wow" he says. "About the music sensation thing"

"Nope" she says smirking "you said one"

"But starlight" he whines.

"Have you always been this whinny" she asks making her making him blush. He smiles swearing revenge.

"Only for you" he says making her giggle.

"Okay this is the first time I could actually say bad attempt" she says slightly laughing.

"Do I not charm you anymore" he asks.

"Hold your horses Prince charming" she says bopping his nose making her way towards her brothers side. He blushes at the sight.

"Whipped" he hears Cass and Steph say under their breath.

Martha walks over to Damian .

"Hows it going big bro" she asks making him chuckle shocking the heck out of the poor students.

"I can't get the note right" he says.

"Play it for me" she says.

He starts playing his violin softly. A note is a bit out of place.

"Oh that's easy" she says adjusting his posture. "Now try it"

He plays the piece once again this time perfectly.

"Thank you" he says slightly smiling.

"You welcome big bro" she says moving from him to Cass and Stephanie.

"Hows it going" she asks sweetly.

"Great" they both say at the same time as they slightly tap the drums.

"How about you and lover boy" Stephanie asks smirking.

"Almost forgot" she says crushing them both into a hug "thank you"

"You welcome" Stephanie says.

"Remember if he breaks your heart we bring out the kriptonite" Cass says.

"I think he heard you" Martha says making them giggle.

"We know" they say at the same time.

The lesson continues quite smoothly with a bit of practice and some chatting.
