"Hey uhh Devon can I talk to you for a second?"

I asked neverously as we were preparing dinner.

"Sure."

"I think you might want to sit for what I'm about to tell you."

He sat down and looked at me with a questioning look.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm pregnant."

I said slowly while handing him the test out of my purse on the counter, as I walked over to him.

"That's great, but why do you sound sad?"

He said with with excitement, as I looked at the floor.

"I don't want to keep the baby."

I said fiddling with my fingers with my head down.

"Why!?

He yelled making me jump back a little.

"Because now isn't the right time and I already have to many kids to take care of."

"So you thinking about killing my baby?"

I slowly nodded my head never looking up at him until I heard the chair move.

The next thing I know is he's grabbing Devon Jr, and he's out the door slamming it.

"Well that went great."

I said to myself as I finished dinner.
After finding and gathering the kids together we are dinner and then I washed them up putting them to bed.

I laid in my bed with my phone in my hand thinking about calling my counselor and I decided to do so since I felt depressed.

A couple rings later she answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ms. Sanders this is Rain, sorry for calling so late."

"It's ok. So how did everything go?"

"He was happy at first but when I told him how I felt he got angry and left."

"Well at least he left and didn't do anything he regret."

"I agree, but I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing."

"Alright well have a goodnight and take care."

"Ok, you as well."

After that I hung up the phone and put it on the charger on the nightstand before getting comfortable and attempting to go to sleep.

I woke up feeling terrible so I called into work and after taking the kids to school I came back home and went to sleep.
