~I'm in love with somebody

Found someone who completes me

And it's not you!~

Jade sat on Robby's lap in the back of the stage where the band relaxed before their set. The blue-headed teen was grabbing at her stomach from laughing so hard from a story that Scooter had just told.

With a single raised eyebrow and a smirk, Robby shifted the girl a little to get her to look at him. "I don't get what's so funny?" All it took was for Jade to glance over at the punk with dreads one more time, before she bursted out laughing again.

"Y-you wouldn't understand. T-the guy is fucking-" Jade could even finish the sentence before a wheeze stopped her and another set of laughter filled her body.

Blake took the two teens in. The last guy Jade brought to her concerts ended up fucking with her bad and so the older redhead found himself wary of the newest addition. The teens lived together, worked out together, drove together... they did so much together and he still wasn't quite sure-

It was the subtle rustle of the curtain and a familiar shade of red that caught Blake's eye behind Jade and Robby. Immediately, the guitarist knew exactly who had been there, watching. Glancing over at Rum and Scooter, their expressions confirmed his suspicions.

"O-okay, I'll be back." Jade forced herself out of the warm lap she had been in, her chest feeling like cotton candy. Looking at Robby, she gave playful warning. "Best behavior, or else."

Robby threw his arms up with a smirk. "No promises." Jade nodded before narrowing her eyes at her bandmates.

"No killing. I actually like this one."

And with good spirit, Jade found herself out of the room and headed to the bathroom. Before she could close the door all the way, a hand forced it open and pushed the teen into the bathroom further. With an 'oof', Jade quickly forced herself into a stronger stance, blocking the hand that tried to grab her. "What the fuck!"

Hawk had already locked the door behind him and used Jade's momentum against her to push her face first into the door. With a snarl into the girl's ear, Hawk kept the punk pressed against the door.

In the past then he'd done this, Jade would make a snarky comment that would lead to antagonizing. Which would lead to a great stress relief. But today, she wasn't feeling this at all.

"What the fuck, pigeon brain?! Get off me!"

And something made Hawk feel... With a small yell the teen pushed himself away and Jade turned around angrily, demanding an explanation.

"You're fucking Keene." The words, 'I wish' almost spilt out of her mouth before she could stop them. But when she tried to reply, Hawk snapped out. "Don't lie, I saw you on his lap."

With a snort, Jade's shoulders relaxed. "Try purple next time. Green is not your color, chiqui." Hawk sputtered, taking a small step back in the already too tight bathroom space. Seeing him fumble, Jade took a step forward and shoved a finger into the redheads chest.

Blazing eyes staring into lost blues and Jade's words came out sharp. "You and me.. are not a thing. We fucked, we did some fun shit, but that's it." She could see the hurt passing through anger woven in the teen's face. "You blew your chance when you became whatever clown this... is."

Hawk didn't want that to be it. He came backstage to see her, talk to her, be with her. Everything was getting out of control and he just wanted to be in control of something, anything for just five minutes.

But when the devil in heels spun around and slammed the door behind her, Hawk was reminded of the feeling of sand falling from his hands. With a yell, Hawk punched the mirror above the sink and left with scrapes on his knuckles to join the rest of the team in the crowd.

On his way over, he noticed Robby and Tory talking lowly backstage, small grins on their face and stars in their eyes. Hawk pushed his hands into his pockets as he walked past unnoticed.

He knew those looks and could already predict the future of Jade's romantic life. But the smirk on his own lips felt forced and he couldn't understand why he wanted to run over to the two and beat the living shit out of Robby Keene. Jade didn't deserve-

Probably left over anger from what he did to Miguel.

Yeah. That's it.

......

Robby smiled at the teen and handed the pick back to Jade, just having kissed it for good luck

Jade hopped over to the microphone, enjoying the screams and hype of the crowd. With a smirk she grabbed onto the mic and collared out to the crowd. "How's it going freaks and dropouts?!" The crowd screamed back, Rum emphasizing with his drum set.

Green eyes scanned the crowd for the Cobra Kai group and Jade wasn't disappointed to find them closer to the front. A thought flew through Jade's head as green eyes met blue that this was the first time Hawk would be in the crowd instead of backstage. With a glance over to the brunette occupying the side house, Jade felt butterflies at the small smile of encouragement.

"Are you guys ready..."

Jade recalled her earlier conversation with Hawk and felt her blood evolving into lava the more she thought about the possessive fury she had encountered.

Her eyes went back to Hawk's as she devised the right words and maintained her focus on the redhead. "This goes out to a very special someone..." The lights blinded her, but she knew he knew... "Someone who is here tonight..." With a small nod over to Rum, the drummer banged on his cowbell before she entered the number.

"I'm in love with somebody. Found someone who completes me. I'm in love with somebody." The small pause allowed her ample time to find the mohawk in the crowd, even through the blinding lights and made sure her last eye contact happened on her next four words.

"And it's not you!"

Throughout the petty song, Jade jumped and yelled, letting out all the anger of her situation into the air of her music. It felt like she was finally releasing herself from the chains that kept her tied down to someone who only used her. Every glance at Robby made her hopeful for something better, someone better. The crowd ate it up, jumping and enjoying the energy of the lyrics and musical accompaniment.

Even though Hawk knew that first song was aimed at him, he couldn't help but enjoy the night. The thought of Robby being the one where he used to be lingered on his mind, but he let it out through the wild jerks of his body as he and Kyler started a mosh pit. He really did like the scene and he felt his heart do something at the sight of Jade's smile and bright eyes.

She always looked happier on stage.

"Goodnight, everybody!" With a flick of her wrist, Jade threw her pick into the crowd without any direction.

Hawk caught it.
