Sultan was behaving very strangely. I mean he would altogether stop talking to me. And then suddenly he would try to be a part of the conversation between me and the guards. And then again become quiet all of a sudden. I thought that he had moved past of his feelings towards me. But his strange behaviour points otherwise. Else why would he hid inside that invisible cocoon? He could talk with me freely like he used to do.
The experience of ruling was invaluable. I was very fortunate to get to sit on the throne. Ruling was interesting as well as demanding. I was interested in how Sultan managed to rule in the midst of such political webs and corrupted minds, lusting for wealth and power. Moreover I took Ali's advice a bit seriously. Staying with him for his expedition would help me to understand how to rule a kingdom as get to know Sultan. Maybe he wasn't such a big brute. You know, maybe a small brute? I don't know.
Moreover I wanted to prove Ali that I am trying to take his brother seriously. I could tell Ali later that I spent a considerable time with his brother but couldn't feel attracted to him. That would end the matters peacefully.
