Chapter 11

[Name] pov:

"How long do we have to do this intense training?" Zantetsu complained.

"Stop complaining Zantetsu, we don't have a choice y'know." I scolded.

"Well what will happen if my face hit the ground while training?" Asked Zantetsu looking at me.

"I'd laugh at you if I saw your nose bleeding." I responded.

"Your one to talk." Reo said remembering what happened a few days ago.

"I've gotta say though... it seems like something changed." Said Zantetsu.

"Yeah, he's been taking practice more seriously now... Mr. Everything-is-a-pain..." I said looking at Nagi.

"Ding dong ding dong! At this time, Blue Lock's First selection... has been completed for all wings. All players who have completed the first round, please put on your training suits... procede to the underground central area from your respective wings."

"Wake up, [Name]..." Reo said shaking me.

"Five more minutes..." I complained.

"C'mon, we have to go now. Do you want me to carry you?" Asked Reo looking at me.

"Yes, please..." I responded. He then picked me up and carried me on his back to procede at the underground central area.

Once we got there the other teams from other wings are here too. I looked around looking for Isagi, then I spoted him. He looked shocked.

'Ah... Isagi is here but why does he look so shocked?' I thought.

"Huh...? Hey wait a minute..." I heard Reo said still carrying me and I looked at him. "The only ones from here are Team V-Z..." He muttered and I looked around once again. And I notice what he was talking about. Suddenly the monitor on the room opened, revealing Ego.

"Hi there you lumps of talent. Good job on your  physical training. Gathered hear are 25 players from all five wings. All 125 of you cleared the first selection round. I'm sure the clever ones here have already notice... that only Wing 5 exists in Blue Lock. By making you think you were in Teams V-Z at the very bottom... you all fought likr madmen in the First selection." Ego exclaimed.

"Huh?"

"So all of us... were told we we're in Wing 5?!"

"For real...? No way... You tricked us...?!" One of them shouted.

"Yeah, thats right. I'm trying to kill your half-assed confidence. I created this scheme to produce the hungry mindset you need to become the best in the world." Ego confesses.

"Now then, let's start the second selection round. Once you've prepared yourself... enter the gate one at a time. Good luck..." With that the monitor shut down.

"That Jinpachi Ego guy is smart... what could be waiting for us next?!" Reo asked then suddenly a guy kicked a soccer ball above. He then kicked the other one making both of the soccer balls hit each other.
