Chapter 12:

DILARA'S POV:
'Dominico is going to kill us!' Christianto yells over the engine of our motorbikes.

'Learn to live a little!' I reply.

I rev my engine and start speeding down the road.

Christianto and I thought it would be a good idea to get some air at night. So we snuck out and now we're getting chased down by the police.

And we may be a little drunk.

Personally, I think they're being dramatic.

'This way!' Christianto says.

We duck down an alleyway and hear police sirens still coming after us.

We get off our motorbikes and put our helmets on the seats.

'We're so dead,' I slur.

Christianto places a hand on my mouth and chuckles drunkly.

'Shhhhh.' He splutters.

We wait a while before Christianto removes his hand.

I hiccup and giggle, causing Christianto to burst out laughing.

'You're so stupid.' I slur.

He looks blurry so I put my hand on his face to stable my eyes.

He bites my hand.

'Asshole!' I exclaim.

He sticks his tongue out.

'Let's get going.' He says.

I start walking and trip over a trash can, falling face first onto the floor.

'Get up you clutz.' He drags me up.

'Don't tell me what to do.' I mutter. 'I'm hungry.'

'I don't care,' he replies.

I turn around and pout, narrowing my eyes at him.

'I'm sorry I didn't mean it.' He whispers, aggressively pulling me into a hug.

'You're ruining my hair.' I hiccup.

We look at each other and start laughing until the sides of my body hurts.

'What do you think the worst thing Dominico can do when he finds out is?'I ask.

'He'll just say. 'Dilara you're the heir you need to screw your head down.'' Christianto replies, trying to mock his grouchy voice.

It's nice seeing him relaxed like this, away from all his work.

'I'm so disappointed in you.' I reply mimicking him.

We burst into laughter again.

'We really need to get home.' He says. 'What time is it?'

I look down at my golden watch and all the numbers are blurry.

'I don't know,' I reply. 'You check.'
