Chapter 5

Alaiza

Today is Sunday so I don't work. I quickly sit up on my bed and scroll through Instagram and Facebook for a while before going into the bathroom.  I haven't play either of those apps for a while now since I was caught up with too many works.

I turned off my phone and quickly take off my clothes and look in the mirror .

It has been weeks since Nathan ignored me. He still doesn't talk to me and I did the same. I want to know why but I never dare asked him.

Whenever I make him coffee, he sometimes muttered ' thank ' and sometimes he completely ignore me .

After the meeting, I handed him the note and he just took it from me without sparing me a glance.

I feel disappointed that he ignored me. I just want to know why .

I quickly took a shower, brushed my teeth and walked out of the bathroom.

Since today is Sunday, I'm gonna take a walk in the garden after breakfast. The garden is my favorite place in this entire house. I mean mansion .

I wear a plain white shirt and sweatpants . I'm not gonna go out anyway , so sweatpants is fine .

I walk down the hallway and make my way to the kitchen . Dave is cooking something while humming a song.

" Morning " , I greet him .

He turn around a give me a grin . " Morning "

" What are you making today ? " , I ask him . Whatever his answer is , I don't care . Everything he makes is delicious .

" Pancake " , He replied.

" Great " , I smile at him .

After a few minutes , he puts a plate of pancakes in front of me and tell me to give one to Ellie when she comes. He  smiles before leaving the room  . Dave only works here in the morning and evening. He just cooked us food and then he will leave.

I finished my breakfast and put my plate in the sink. I pour a glass of water drink it. The kitchen door opens and Ellie walks in. I told her to eat the pancake and walk to the garden.

I walk further into the garden until I reach the tree from last time.

I didn't inspect much last time but now it's much more better. This tree has big leaves and branch and it provide a nice shade. Also, there's roses around this tree, like a lot of roses with multiple colors.

Roses is my favorite flower because it's really beautiful and at the same time, it is very dangerous . They have a spikes!

I sighed and lean down. My back hit the stem of the tree and a cool breeze brush past me, making me shiver .

I close my eye for a moment, enjoying the moment until I heard footsteps.

I opened my eyes and I see him.

Nathan

I look at myself in the mirror.

After my anger issues at Alaiza weeks ago, I feel extremely guilty. I mean I shouldn't be overreacted.

I want to apologize but I just can't. I never apologize to anyone.

But today I finally grow enough balls to go and talk to her .

" Alaiza , I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have overreacted and I'm sorry for ignoring you "

Yes , I'm suck at apologies so I have to be prepared..

I wore my clothes and make my way to her room. I knocked her door once but I didn't hear anything .

So, I knock twice but I still didn't hear anything . Maybe she already went downstairs . I make my way downstairs and I walk to the garden .

I know that it's her favorite place . I always saw her at the garden on her free time. I always look through my window and no, I'm not a stalker .

I think she really like roses. The way she looks at the rose, the way she touch it. I wonder what it feels like when she touches my ....

Stop it , She's not your girlfriend , yet .

I saw her leaning against the tree and she looked very beautiful . I walk up to her and she opened her eyes .

" Um ... Do you need anything ? " , she asks me .

I look at her in the eyes but I didn't say anything . More like , I can't .

I try to open my mouth and say something but it didn't come out .

Come on , Nathan . You've practiced this for a whole day .

" I'm sorry " . My mouth finally fly open .

" About what ? " , she asks me after a moment of silence .

" About the accident that happen weeks ago . I shouldn't have overreacted " , I told her .

She nod " It's cool "

" So , are we good now ? " , I ask her , hoping that she would say yes .

After a moment of silence she finally speaks .

" Only if you buy me ice-cream and cookies "
