"I can't believe you're going to be my wife one day." Colby said as we cuddled on the couch. "I still can't believe this." I said and held my left hand out so I could look at the ring.

"I'm so happy." I whispered then giggled and cuddled into him more. "I am too, baby. You make me so happy." He said and kissed my head. "You make me so happy too." I said and took his hand.

We ended up watching a movie before we decided to go to bed. It didn't take long for us to fall asleep since it was a long day.

I woke up back in my bedroom in LA. "Are you ready?" Ki asked as she came into the room holding a big white dress. "Ready for what?" I asked and twisted my fingers anxiously. "To get married silly." She said with a laugh as I stood up.

"Oh...okay." I said then took the dress. I was expecting it to be heavier than it was. I turned to ask Ki why it was so light but she was already gone.

"Oh." I said then sighed and put the dress on. I didn't have time to look in the mirror before I was being whisked out of the room by a bunch of random people.

"Wait!" I called out as the image faded away. I was now standing in a church. "Hello?" I called out and looked around. I felt my eyes watering as the doors opened.

I didn't know why but something felt off.

I heard the eerie music playing through the empty church as I walked in. Colby was standing at the end of the alter which made my heart warm up. He wasn't facing me though, his back was to me completely which I thought was strange.

I got about halfway down the aisle before he turned around. My stomach flipped when I saw that it wasn't Colby.

It was Peter.

"My beautiful wife." He said as I looked around the room frantically. I was no longer in the church.

I was in the dingy broken down room that I was held in while I was kidnapped.

I woke up screaming as my heart raced in my chest. "Violet?!" Colby asked as he woke up. I opened my mouth to response but I couldn't breathe.

The dream felt so real.

"Breathe, baby. You're okay." Colby said as he pulled me into his chest, trying to comfort me. "I c-can't br- breathe." I wimpered as he held me. "Shhh, I'm here. You're okay." He cooed as I sobbed into his chest.

I cried for a while before I was able to calm down. Colby just held me close and ran his fingers through my hair gently as I tried to bring myself back.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked as I leaned up and rubbed my eyes. "It's dumb." I said quietly as I wiped the residual tears from my cheeks. "It's not dumb, V." He said quietly and brushed my hair behind my ear.

"I just...it was a nightmare." I said and sniffled. "About what?" He asked. "Our...well...my wedding." I said as he frowned. "What do you mean?" He asked as I sniffled again and looked away.

"I was in a church and when I walked down the aisle it wasn't you...it was Peter. Before I could do anything I was back in that room." I said and looked down at my hands.

"Oh, Vi..." Colby whispered as I frowned. "I'm sorry." I said and chewed on my lip as my eyes watered. "Don't apologize. I know how hard this has been for you. I should have known this would trigger you." He said quietly as he raised my chin up so I could look at him.

"I hate this." I said as he wiped my cheek as another tear trickled down it. "I know. I'm gonna be here with you through everything though. You have to remember that what happened to you was traumatic. Some days are gonna be harder than others." He said as I nodded.

"I know..It just sucks that something so amazing and happy is tainted from this." I said as we laid back down. "It's not tainted, V. It hasn't even been a full day of being engaged. It's gonna take time and that's okay. I'm not giving up on you." He said quietly and scratched my back gently.

"I don't deserve you." I said and rested my head on his chest, focusing on his heartbeat. "You deserve the world. Now let's get some rest so we can go on adventures tomorrow." He said as I yawned. "Okay." I whispered then rested my head on his chest.

I listened to his heartbeat as I tried to relax. I knew I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep but I wanted to at least try.

Before I knew it the sun was coming up, which meant I didn't actually fall back asleep. I sighed then got out of bed so I could get ready for the day. I wasn't sure what we were doing but I didn't want to lay here with my thoughts anymore.

I went into the bathroom and washed my face then did my makeup. Once I was done with that I grabbed one of Colby's hoodies and put it on with a pair of jeans then went to the living room.

I knew I probably had a couple hours until Colby woke up so I decided to go into town so I could make him some breakfast.

I went to the nearest grocery store and grabbed stuff to make pancakes, bacon, eggs, and toast. I also grabbed a couple rolls of wrapping paper and tape so I could wrap Colby's gifts and put them under the tree.

I ended up stopping at a couple more places to grab more gifts for him since he honestly deserved it.

When I got back to the cabin I put on a Christmas movie and wrapped the presents. Once I was finished with that I started on breakfast. It felt good to be cooking again since it had been a while since I l have been able to get creative in the kitchen.

I got so lost in the zone that I didn't realize Colby was awake until he was wrapping his arms around my waist causing me to scream.

"Woah! It's just me baby." Colby said causing me to laugh and bring my hand to my chest. "You scared the shit out of me." I said with a laugh then turned around to face him. "Sorry, I forgot how in the zone you get." He said then rhythmically drummed his hands on my ass.

"Yeah. I wanted to make us some breakfast though." I said the with a small smile as I turned to gesture to the pancakes I was cooking. "You went to the store?" He asked as I got to work again.

"Yep. I woke up early." I said quietly. "You didn't go back to sleep did you?" He asked as I sighed and shook my head. "I couldn't." I said then walked over to the fridge to get the bacon. "Oh, baby..why didn't you wake me?" He asked as I shrugged.

"It wasn't a big deal." I said as he sighed. "Whatever you say, V." He said then sat down at the table. "I was just too wired after the nightmare. It's no big deal, I feel fine now. Ready to take on the day." I said and put my fists on my hips, puffing my chest out like a superhero.

"You're such a dork." He said with a laugh and opened his laptop. "I'm gonna edit this video so we can show it to everyone, okay?" Colby asked as I nodded.

"I can't wait to see their reactions." I said with a laugh as I cooked. "Who do you think is gonna have the best reaction?" Colby asked as I turned to look at him.

We looked at eachother for a second. "Ki." We said at the same time then laughed. "What did Sam say?" I asked then turned back to the stove. "I don't know. I kinda hung up on him because you came into the room looking all sexy and shit." He said causing me to laugh.

"Poor Sam. His best friend chose hoes before bros." I said with a laugh as he chuckled. "You're not a hoe." He said and got to work with editing.

I finished up breakfast as he did this then got us both plates and sat at the table. "Almost done?" I asked and took a bite of my bacon. "Yep. Wanna watch it again?" He asked as I giggled and nodded.

Colby had edited it so that it started off with just the lights, then had it cut to the proposal so that it would be a surprise for everyone.

"Should we send it or show everyone in person?" I asked as he closed the laptop. "I almost think it would be better in person." Colby said and started eating. "You're right. Oh, I'm so excited." I said then leaned over and kissed his cheek.

It still felt so surreal that we were engaged right now but I was so happy.

There was nobody I would rather be with for the rest of my life.
