Alex woke up in pain. Pain that she had never felt before nor ever wanted to feel again. Darkness surrounded her and she was unaware where she was. Her eyes felt as if they were on fire and she immediately went to go see why. Her hands, instead of the soft skin she would usually touch, felt cool metal instead.

It was then she realized that it wasn't a dark room that she was trapped in, but instead a metal mask that covered her face. The slight amount of pressure that she applied to it caused her to yelp out in pain. Whatever this mask was - it was damaging her eyes as well. It explained the pain and why she couldn't see.

The cold wet floor and eerie quietness led her to believe that Jay had taken her back to his lair. Alex carefully stood up and felt her way around where she was trapped. Glass walls stopped her path and she was sure that she was locked in the same cell that Barry was once in. Though she could get out of it with her teleporting powers, he could never accomplish getting out with his speed.

Alex tried to rip the metal mask off of her face but it only resulted in pain - pain that she couldn't keep yet another scream from ripping through her lungs. It had woken Joe - who she didn't even know got taken along with them. She thought that by throwing herself in it would have protected him.

Now, her sacrifice had put the whole team at risk. They needed her abilities if they wished to stop him for good.

"There's no point in trying to get that off. You need a key for it, any other way and you might rip your eyes right out of their sockets," Jay's voice caused her to jump. She had no idea where he was - or what he could possibly be doing. The thought terrified her that she was defenseless against him.

Alex yelped as a punch was delivered to her abdomen. Jay had been inside the small cell with her. She scrambled back up to her feet and raised her arms. She didn't stand a chance against him as he kicked her knees out and punched her right in the spine. The wind was knocked out of her and she was left on the ground out of breath.

Jay was surprised when she pulled herself up one more time and a chuckle passing her lips. She could feel him kneel down in front of her. "Doesn't matter what you do to me, everyone else is safe on my earth and you're never going to get to them again. Everyone I love is safe and that is all that will ever matter.

Jay laughed even hard than she did. The cackle caused her to flinch. "Not everyone is safe back on your earth. Joe made it over here too." He watched as horror struck her face. She had thought that all along it was only her locked up in that cell. "Plan not go quite as you wanted it to?"

"You don't need him here, Jay. Let him go. It was me that you wanted anyways - it always has been. Ever since I tricked you into not getting my speed - it's all you ever wanted from me huh? Take my speed, keep me here but let Joe go. He won't survive like a speedster can and you know it."

"Sorry, Alex. That's not how this works," Jay stood up from his spot, towering over the brunette. Alex tried to scramble up to her feet and stop him even though she had no sight. Her fist swung out and only hit air. He grabbed her shoulders, throwing her back into the ground. Alex winced at the pain.
