i wish i did not feel so deeply
if i could stop my emotions running through my blood,
if i could block them from my heart
i would
they are not beautiful,
they are not understandable,
they are not normal,
they are not okay.
i do not wish to be told otherwise,
for it is not true.
i wish my blood ran cold,
and that my heart stood still.
only then it could all fall quiet,
only then would the peace run through my blood and flood my heart.
