not knowing who you are
having no sense of self
no sense of your true identity,
is a pain no one speaks about
because you change every aspect of your personality to be likeable
everything you've ever known or thought about yourself
just disappears.
and it's for every single person you meet
you create endless versions of yourself
till you lose the original
you don't know who you are
and you know nothing about yourself
the only thing i know about myself
that i can confidently tell everyone
is that my favourite colour is purple.
