A Bryce Hall Love Story

Part 18

Teyha's Pov
   Noah and Bryce left to bring Danny over to our house. That was her name. She isn't officially their kid, but she will be in a week. The kids played while me and Bryce sat on the couch. We were watching The Hunger Games when Noah and Addison knocked on our door. I opened it and look around. Danny was standing behind Addison and Noah. She seemed a bit shy.
Teyha- Hi, Danny, I'm Teyha. I'm Addison's best friend. It's nice to meet you. Oh my. You are so pretty.
She looked down and smiled.
Danny- Thank you. It's nice to meet you too.
Bryce- And I'm Bryce, Noah's best bud. It's a privilege to meet you. Like Teyha said, you are gorgeous.
Danny smiled widely at the ground.
Danny- Thank you, Bryce. It's nice to meet you too.
Danny looked around behind me and Bryce.
Teyha- Want a tour?
Danny- Really? I'd love one.
I gave her a tour around the house. We stopped in the playroom where the kids were.
Danny- Your house is amazing. It's so big and beautiful.
Teyha- Thank you. We put a lot of work into it.
Danny- Is that your son?
Teyha- Yes, his name is River.
Danny- He is so adorable.
Teyha- River, come here.
I signaled for him to stand by me. I squatted down to be at his height.
Teyha- Say hi to Danny.
River- Hi Dwanny.
She laughed and smiled. She bent down.
Danny- Hi, little guy. Are you having fun with my sister?
River- That's your sistwer? Wow.
She laughed and looked at the ground.
River- Wanna pway wif me?
Danny- I'd love too.
River took Danny's hand and they went over and played. I headed to the game room and met up with the others. We played a bit of pool.
Bryce- Where's Danny?
Teyha- River asked if she would play with them.
Noah- How sweet.
Addison- She's been really brave for what she has been through.
Bryce- I could never go through something like that.
Bryce hit the eight ball in.
Bryce- Boo yah! Where's my 50 bucks?
Noah handed Bryce $50 and Bryce shoved it in his pocket. Then Danny walked in.
Danny- I left the kids to play. Oooo. May I play against you Bryce?
Bryce- Yeah, sure. I'll put in $50. Winner takes it.
Danny- Are you sure?
Bryce nodded so Danny grabbed a cue stick and walked to the table.
Bryce- I'll start.
Bryce started the game and in a couple minutes Bryce had 6 balls left, while Danny had 2.
Bryce- How on Earth is this happening?
Noah- Dude. You never lose.
Addison- Danny's got game.
Teyha- Danny, if you win, I'll take everyone for ice cream.
Bryce- What about if I win?
Bryce winked at me.
Teyha- I'll let you stay up late.
Bryce- Ugh. I wanted a better reward.
I laughed and the game went on. Danny won and Bryce still remained with 6 balls left.
Noah- A girl beat you.
Addison- A 15 year old girl.
Danny- I used to practice everyday.
Bryce- That explains it.
I headed for the playroom and got the kids. We loaded up in our vehicles and drove over to the ice cream parlor.
Ice Cream Man- What would you like?
Teyha- What does everyone want?
Octavia- Strawberry!!
River- Bwue moon!!
Noah- Orange Sherbet, please.
Addison- I'd like a vanilla ice cream cone, please.
Bryce- I'll take a dipped cone. Thank you.
Danny whispered in my ear.
Teyha- I'll take one Mint Chip and a banana split for our big winner.
Ice Cream Man- Ok. That will be $26.89. I'll get it to you shortly.
Teyha- Thank you.
We all took our seats at a booth. We waited for our ice cream and when it showed up Danny started a conversation.
Danny- Mom, do you think I could go to Teyha's house sometimes.
Addison- Of course. As long as they are ok with it.
Danny- Thanks mom. Are you ok with that, dad?
Noah- Of course.
She smiled and dug into her banana split. I went to the bathroom and soon after, Addison came in.
Addison- Wow. You must have made a good impression on her. She doesn't usually warm up to people that fast.
Teyha- I guess I did. She is such a wonderful kid.
Addison- I know. I wish she didn't have to go through all that stuff.
Teyha- I know. That just makes me sad thinking about it.
Addison- The little ones seem to be happy.
Teyha- They just make me smile.
Addison- Well, I'll let you use the restroom. I'll be out there eating my ice cream.
Addison walked out and I used the restroom. When I came back everyone had finished and Bryce was eating mine.
Teyha- Bryce?!
Bryce- Sorry, babe. It looked tasty. And it is.
We all laughed and then headed back home. It was late so I carried River to bed and tucked him in. I went downstairs and laid on the couch next to Bryce.
Bryce- She really likes you.
Teyha- You think so?
Bryce- Yeah. You are a great parent and an even better wife.
(I forgot to tell you. Between the five years Noah and Addison got married and Bryce and Teyha got married. Oops. Sorry)
Teyha- Thanks, beb.
He kissed my forehead.
Bryce- I love you.
Teyha- I love you too.
I sniffed deeper into him and fell asleep.
