CHAPTER 27: A NEW KIND OF HERO
CONNER'S POV
I'm driving over 80 mph down a gravel road that I know leads directly to Paco. Paco promised he wouldn't do anything to her. There's no telling what he'll do when he finds out I know about all this.
I can see the old house in the distance. I knew to come to this house. This was Paco's childhood house. The only place out here that could be of interest to Paco.
She's practically innocent, just brought into all this by force. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if she was to fall at the hands of him.
With that thought, I pull up to the old house. Walking up the front porch, the front door is barely open.
