Taking a sip of the strawberry milk mixed latte, Long Hua says—

"As a person, one of the things that I hate the most—is to do something that is of no benefits to me. Being praised by the people sounds good to a naïve child. However, I've outgrown that—many, many centuries ago."

Heaving a sigh, Long Hua sets his cup down, and explains—

"Among those that you call an Immortal, I am not that powerful; I am but one of the many fodders that you can find on the streets in their world. As for those level six Immortals you speak of—they're also simply fodders that are worth a bit more than the average fodder. In the truly powerful's eyes, they've only touched a tiny trace of what it means to be an actual Immortal."

Having this revealed to him, Zhou Chen's expression turns into one of astonishment, as he asks—

"You're saying that level seven exists?"

"Eight, nine, and ten exists as well."

Being informed of this in a merciless manner, Zhou Chen asks—

"...Sir Long, if you had the power to deal with th-?"

Shaking his head, Long Hua answers the incomplete question with—

"Even if I have the strength, I will not choose to save this world. Call it laziness or whatever. Point of the matter is, what meaning is there to save some strangers that I would forget about in the very next instance? And what do I do—if they ask me to provide them with food and shelter right after? Am I supposed to take care of such deadweights for life? Personally, I do not like having to shoulder a responsibility like that, so I'd much prefer leaving them to die. After all, the sooner you die, the sooner you might reincarnate, and if chances allow, you might end up in a better life than the one you're currently living in."

"..."

Closing his eyes, Zhou Chen could only powerlessly say—

"Seems like... This world is truly doomed."

As Zhou Chen sets his coffee down, Long Hua remarks—

"In my opinion, this world isn't worth saving. You have the inner domain and the outer domain—not getting along, so there's no sense of unity to speak of. It's especially so in the outer domain, where Sinners and non-Sinner grievances have reached its boiling point. All it takes to ignite the tension now is a trigger. A trigger that the hall will no doubt make and pull—once they have their shits together that is."

Smiling with amusement, Long Hua continues to say—

"Zhou-laoye, I think, you're lucky compared to everyone else."

"Meaning?"

"Being one foot near the grave—means you might not live to see this world destroyed."

Even before Zhou Chen can say anything back, the Owner turns to Long Hua, and says—

"I'm impressed that you can say something this harsh to an old man."

"Compared to Zhou-laoye, you're the misfortunate sort, Owner. Age wise, you should have a family now—with maybe a child or two."

"...?"

Towards the puzzled look on the Owner's face, Long Hua shakes his head, and says—

"Ai, starting one now will only be a miserable experience. The children—who should have a future to look forward to, won't have one, especially so if they are a non-Sinner."

Towards this, Zhou Chen asks—

"Is the end going to happen that soon?"

"The end I'm talking about isn't the one that will be caused by the Immortals. It's the one induced by Sinners and non-Sinners. Places like wards one and two will probably cease to exist in that world. Even if they did continue to exist, expect them to be turned into non-Sinner prisons."

These are the two wards that were built specifically for the weapon spirits, which haven't been awakened to their Relics yet.

"The value that non-Sinners have in that world—is very little, practically nonexistent. I think..."

With a harmless smile on his face, Long Hua leisurely says—

"All those people should just die ahead of time—because the vast majority of them, they won't be able to adapt to the new world's way of thinking."

"..."

A bitter smile appears on Zhou Chen's face, as he mutters—

"Dying ahead of time—means mercy, does it?"

"Maybe."

With the twisted way reincarnation works in the Leng Bing Realm, Long Hua doesn't have a definite answer to this question.

Everyone who dies in the previous era will eventually be brought back to life, and be made to suffer in a harsher hell. If word of this ever gets out—

(Seeing an entire world abruptly thrown into a state of insanity—might be amusing in its own way.)

Picking up his cup for another drink, Zhou Chen gives up on the notion of attempting to convince Long Hua to help with suppressing Nascent Soul realm practitioners.

If he were asked whether he fully believes in Long Hua's words or not, Zhou Chen wouldn't be able to give a solid answer.

Part of him believes what Long Hua had told him, but another part of him refuses to do so as a result of fear, the fear that this world's end—regardless of it being by interior factors, or by the Immortals' hands, is all but inevitable.

Setting his cup down, Zhou Chen feels the urge to simply leave at this point; however, he suddenly recalls something from his past—

"Does Sir Long have any interest—in hearing the events related to the first level six Immortal's descent?"

"...Can't say I do, although—I do have time to burn. But before you start, why do you suddenly feel like talking about it?"

"Something has been bothering me ever since that event. I was hoping to receive your input on the matter."

Snorting out a laugh, Long Hua asks—

"...Should I be wearing a fake white beard to at least look the part of a wise elder?"

An old man asking a young man for advice, the visual difference in age between them would surely cause anyone to find this situation an odd sight to behold.

Towards the question, an odd smile appears on Zhou Chen's face, as he replies—

"I can't tell if you're serious or not..."
