TRANSMIGRATION : Raising a Huge Family is Too Hard

“Starting now, you should get used to this sight. After all, we will be living a life filled with magic from tomorrow onwards ….”

 

Su Xiu stated calmly as if she was just speaking of the weather. Su Bowen who heard her words was confused and torn on whether believing his Big Sister’s words as joke or the truth. Before Su Bowen could ask again, Su Xiu outdid him.

“What can I say, your Big Sis has such great luck and found a magical item that can help us to stay warmed, sheltered and full amidst this snow storm we’re facing. By tomorrow, we’ll move to a comfortable place to live… “

 

 

The three of them were so surprised to hear Su Xiu’s words. Even Su Kai and Su Ai couldn’t hide their expressions of disbelief. It was precisely so since the world Su Xiu transmigrated into wasn’t a magical type world but  cultivation world. However, her luck was just  so great she managed to get a unique cheat in that medium sized cave that she went into earlier. She didn’t know that the place were once a sacred place hundreds of centuries ago until it was forgotten by the next succeeding generations and so on. The sacred place was initially a mysterious habitat where a lot of untold secrets were left unfound. For how many centuries passed and how many calamities left a mark on it, no matter what it had become at present, the sacred place' untold secrets remained. The spatial dimension that Su Xiu got was just one of it. This was something that Su Xiu will never know. Not even the people of this world knew of it. However, the sacred place was no longer unfound but remained a secret untold.

For cultivation matters, Su Xiu didn’t have the idea of cultivating. She just want to live a simple, peaceful and comfortable life together with her siblings. Anyways, this area was too far from the capital so most of the people here were just ordinary civilians and don’t know how to cultivate. Even if they knew, with the economic condition of the village no one would give time and effort to spare for cultivation. If she happened to meet powerful people, Su Xiu would just hide inside her space and no one can harm her and her siblings no matter how powerful they were. No matter how they searched the whole continent, they will never find them. Not even their shadows.

“Magical item? What magical item? Is there such a thing? “

 

 

Su Bowen exclaimed full of curiosity and mixed with an unknown expectation.

“The magical item was an ordinary looking rock. I suddenly swallowed it and that’s how I came to know of its amazing magic. For things like magic to exist is not impossible. It’s the same thing with cultivation. It’s presence existed but not everyone can practice it… .In our case, we got great luck to have this magical item….”

Su Xui saw that little Su Bao was almost done with her food so she prepared her bedding while explaining things to the kids mixed with a little lie. After all, she really didn’t have any idea how she could have this cheat but even so, Su Xiu was very thankful to have it.

Seeing that the three were already convinced with her explanation, Su Xiu was relieved.

“You must keep this our family’s secret. No one else should know of this outside our family, understand?”

 

Su Xiu reminded her siblings. Its better to remain low key than to keep flaunting your strength less you make or meet troubles. There were no less of greedy  and malicious people in the world. Few were those we can consider good. Rare were those sincere and genuine people.

“Of course, Big Sis! We wont tell it to anyone. Not even if we were forced to…”

Su Kai vowed with a serious countenance as he looked at her Big Sis in pledge.

 

“Yes, Big Sis!  We don’t want to have another Aunt Li and Uncle Li again! "

Su Bowen said distastefully as he recalled their sufferings under the pretense of the so called care of filial piety towards them as recognized elders.

Su Ai nodded enthusiastically to Su Xiu as if saying silently that she was agreeing to her older brothers' statement.

Su Xiu was satisfied seeing them agreeing to her without any sort of malice or doubts. She nooded and smiled at them as a sign of acknowledging their pledge.

Little Su Bao suddenly yawned widely that it caught Su Xiu's attention. She instructed Su Kai and Su Bowen to make their beddings to prepare for sleep since its already getting late.

"Little Bao-er, come on now your bed is ready..."

Su Xui called as she gestured for little Su Bao to go to bed. The little girl struggled to get up and walk with her half closed eyes. When she was within reached, Su Xiu lifted her and placed her on the bedding carefully. Su Xiu folded their bedding earlier in half to accommodate enough space for her two 6 and 8 year old siblings. Then, Su Xiu called for Su Ai and let her sleep beside her little sister. She tucked them both with a thick blanket and kissed them each on their foreheads as goodnight.

Su Xiu stood up and went to Su Kai and Su Bowen's place to check on them. Seeing that they are already bundled under the warm cover of thick blanket, Su Xiu just kissed them goodnight and went to the baby triplets' place. She made her own bedding and sleep beside the babies.

Outside of the cave, the snow storm continued to make havock of its surroundings. It was so heavy that even the strong winds blew some houses that were built shabbily into ruins. There were many casualties and 10 people either young or old died frozen from the cold winter.

Some who had connections or a bit of money saved went to either Head Wang or to the Li family to ask for temporary shelter from them since these were the only family in the village who had such big and strongly built house. Those who couldnt give the exact amount or has no connection to them were left alone to froze and die. Not even a little child was spared with a little mercy from them.

It was a snowy, long night for everyone but not all can enjoy the warmth of a shelter.
