Over the next few months, Joe and I became more close. He went with me to see Noah. Noah, Joe, Wade, and Lisa were all looking out for me.  They had no idea who the guy was from my memory.  According to Noah sounded like I was in a bad situation and I was possibly trying to get away and got injured in the process. Lucky to be alive. Only thing we could do was be prepared in case something happens. Cameras were set up and hidden. I was constantly checked on. Midnight became a great companion through all of this. Also seeing a counselor has helped me as well. I had to because of the dreams I had. The dreams were of memories I couldn't figure out. Only someone from the life I couldn't remember fully could help.

I heard a knock on my door. I double checked the cameras.  It was Joe and Noah. Their faces didn't look good.

"You may want to sit down. I brought Joe with me because your going to need a friend once I tell you everything. I don't want to even say this to you. I know you have been doing better since this incident.  I have been going down the path you may have come from looking for answers. Joe has helped me as well. We found a phone and we believe it belonged to you. There are pictures on it. There's more. You were in the witness protection system. I have reached out to them for answers.  Apparently it seems you escaped. We are still trying to sort out the details. Probably a blessing you can't remember much. Once we figure out more we are going to let you know. The phone we have to keep for evidence purposes. I am swapping it for prints. Will keep you posted as more info goes. For now lay low. Working at the court house is perfect because guards everywhere. Joe and I will help take you to and from work. The less people know about this the better. I trust Joe, Lisa, and Wade. However I prefer only us 3 know. All they need to know is that because of some of your memories we need to keep you safe." Joe informed me.

Tears fell from my eyes. " I can't remember and now my life and others could be in jeopardy." I sobbed.

Noah left Joe with me. Joe ordered take out. I barely could eat. He just held me, while I cried.

"You need to hear this from me. Kimbers, I care for you a lot and my feelings have grown since I've known you. I'm not going anywhere.  I love you. I wanted to tell you in a romantic way, however before anything crazy goes down you need to hear it.  We ride together. We die together. Like on our favorite movie series Fast and the Furious. I'm now going to teach you how to protect yourself. I have taught classes on this." He assured me.

"Oh, Joe. I love you too. No matter what we ride together. We die together. I didn't mean to fall. It just happened. If I'm married or in a relationship, I'm out. Can't be with someone, I don't know or remember. Your it sweetie." I grabbed him and kissed him.

Joe and I fell asleep in each other's arms. Midnight slept at the foot of the bed. I felt so safe in his arms. If only life had not sprung this bad awful stuff. Whatever was going on, I was going to be well prepared for a fight.

I got a small gym set up to get in better shape. Doc told me not to over do it. Joe taught me how to protect myself. Each day I became even stronger and I was definitely getting toned and seeing some muscles.  I was going to be prepared no matter what was going to be thrown at me.
