The two days that have went by were like two years in hell. Knowing his wifey was made at him for his own stupidity he felt like trash.

"You shouldn't have saud what you said" Zunaira said sipping her coffee as she fell back in her chair.

"I know" Rameez groaned. After calling Narmeen countlessly and trying to reach out to her but she has been ignoring him like he doesn't exits.

"You don't know how hard she had been trying to subside those insecurities. It took her years to finally stand up for herself and to believe that she really looks good in her skin after all those aunties judging her. Coming from you those words really hurt her, I don't even know how I'm sitting here calmly and not breaking your head open but I know you're sorry" she said nonchalantly. He didn't know that his joke would have such an impact on her.

"I didn't think my joke would effect her that much" he said holding his head in his hands.

"You choose the wrong time for that joke. You joking about going off to other woman after she had pushed you away only made her feel like an object who can be replaced when of no use. Never.. I tell you never tell a woman or especially your wife that she is replaceable even in the toughest of times. You never know when you break her to no repair.  Now if you'll excuse me I have a function to be at. Pay the bill and apologise." Zunaira said getting up gathering her bag and get ready to walk away from a frustrated Rameez.

"More likely you'll have to beg. Narmeen's the best at ignoring people. You probably dont even exist to her now so force her to listen to you otherwise she won't" zunaira said walking away.

Rameez groaned.

'Pehle tu Aisi koi shareef lagti thi ab dekho attitude tu Eiffel tower se bhi bara hai.' He thought beckoning the waiter close to pay the bill.
(Before she used to be like a timid Scardy and now her attitude is bigger than the Eiffel tower)

He walked out twirling his car keys in his hands, settling down in his car he checked the time, he would have to come up with a plan as to how he would apologise to her. As par her best friend said she would not listen to him so he'll have to come up with something tough.

'You're an idiot.' His conscience mocked.

Rolling his eyes he started his journey to his apartment. He was stuck in traffic when his eyes drifted to the tall mall building. He thought of buying something for his begum so he took a u-turn and went to the mall.

He walked through the mall trying to find something that could catch his eye. His eyes roamed around helplessly but stopped when they settled on a pair of beautiful anklets. They were golden single chained delicate anklets with bells, that caused melody even with the slightest of movement.

He bought them and kept them close to him at all times. Going home he laid down on his bed staring at the pair he had just bought. Imagining them grazing the soft skin of her ankles. The thought itself of very pleasing for his mind. He couldn't wait to apologise and hold her in his  arms, with that thought unknowingly he dozed off....
