The door opened as the soft music filled the air. The spot light hit the beauty dressed in a green lehenga walking the path that lead to her husband. Loaded with jewellery she looked royal like a princess walking into the darbar of a mughal shahenshah.

Hand curled secured around her father's arm and the other holding her skirt in place. The beauty was a rare sight for the people standing at the sides. She took slow steps as she walked to the stage.

Seeing a hand coming in view she looked up to the owner of the hand who was none other than her husband who had descended the stairs of the stage and was now standing a breath away from her. The man she accepted as her husband just yesterday. He stood there in a white sherwani looking as handsome as one could.

No doubt she was lucky to have such a kind and good looking man as her significant other.

Mazhar was left awestruck as he saw her making her way towards him. The lehenga he had chosen looked better now that she was wearing it. Before it was just the heavy pieces of fabric but now it looked like the most beautiful piece of clothing ever seen.

The moment she looked up at him his breath hitched because of the glow and small smile that had enhanced her features. He couldn't help but smile feeling happy, excited, worthy and most importantly blessed.

He took her small hand in his. It fitted perfectly making his smile grow even more. He never in his dreams thought that this day might come and that too this early. He helped her up the stage and helped her sit comfortably then sat beside her.

They sat beside eachother. Merzia's father had giving a long lecture to Mazhar beforehand to save the time. He couldn't help but feel the happy tears stinging his eyes. He stood at the bottom of the stage reminiscing the promise he made to his dying wife.

"Razzaq aap mujhse wada karen. Aap humari Merzia ko zindagi ki har woh khushi dengi jiski woh haqdaar hai. Usse kabhi maa ki kami nahi mehsoos hone denge. Wada karen mujhse" mehmona his wife said clutching his hand tightly in hers. She sobbed knowing well her time is running short.
(Razzaq promise me you will give our Merzia every happiness she desires in life. You will not let her feel the absence of her mother. Promise me)
