As we weaved in and out of traffic, I couldn't help but think about all the things that Ky could have been caught for. He was involved in all things shady, and everybody knew.

As we approached the scene, I could see Ky's car parked on the side of the road with police cars surrounding it. My heart sank as I realized that this was really happening.

We parked a safe distance away and got out of the car, trying to stay low-key. As we got closer, I could see Ky being escorted into one of the police cars.

"Fuck being low-key," I said as I walked briskly over to the car.

"Aye, stop!" Clutch tried to call after me but I ignored him.

As I reared closer and closer to the car, I saw the familiar face of Ebony's partner standing by the side of the door that Kyron was in.

"Why are y'all arresting him?" I demanded.

"Sir, we have reason to believe that this gentleman has been involved in some illegal activities," the officer responded in a stern tone.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Ky had always been involved in shady shit, but I never thought he'd actually get caught.

"What kind of activities?" I pressed on, feeling a knot form in my stomach.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I can't discuss that with you," the officer said firmly.

I sighed, feeling defeated. There was nothing I could do to help Ky now, and I knew that getting involved any further would only land me in trouble.

But still, I needed to talk to him. If I didn't know what was going on, how would I just leave without knowing the full details.

"Can I at least talk to him for a minute?" I asked the woman.

The officer hesitated for a moment before finally nodding her head.

"Alright, but make it quick," she warned me.

I rushed over to the car, and Ky rolled down the window. He looked frazzled, with sweat pouring down his face.

"What the hell happened?" I asked him.

"I don't know," he said, shaking his head. "They just came out of nowhere and took me."

"Did they say what they were arresting you for?" I questioned him eagerly.

"No, they wouldn't tell me anything," Ky responded, his voice trembling. "But I know it gotta be bad. Real bad."

Deep down, I knew Ebony had to have something to do with this. It was just too abrupt.

I clenched my jaw, frustrated. "What do I do?" I asked, feeling defeated as hell. "What do you want me to do?"

"Whatever you do, just keep shit running," he demanded.

I scoffed, looking back at both Clutch and LB.

"I'm not no damn kingpin," I said, whispering the last part. "You know them niggas not gone let me in on shit without you there with me. They don't even like me for real."

Ky let out a deep sigh, looking me in the eye. "I know, but you gotta try. You my baby, and I need you to hold it down for me. And you got them two to help you."

I nodded, feeling a weight on my shoulders. I wanted to bawl my eyes out like a baby.

"I got you," I said, trying to sound confident. "Just don't worry about anything. I'll take care of it."

Ky gave me a small smile before the officer ushered me away, leaving me standing alone in the street.

As I watched the police car disappear into the distance, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. I knew that this was just the beginning of a long, difficult day.
