Once Steve was done with his speech, I stepped up to the podium, and looked at the small "crowd" of just a few people, the only ones who still gave a toasted honey bun about the person this funeral was for.
"Sure, he had... problems...," I started to say. "But don't we all?... I don't think any of us expected that moment... when he gave his life for us. But... it worked out in the end, right?"
"We're closer together than ever now."
"Foreshadowing," the pompous narrator said ominously and sarcastically.
