The secret passage

"Oh goodness! Thank you, Thank you Ruyi." I said happily as I waited for Jandi to go get water from the bath pool in a bowel ..which she did. I urged her to be fast when she started wiping  my face dry with a towel but it seems like Jandi doesn't want me to leave my chamber as she's applying face cream on my face lazily which is so not necessary at this moment.

"Jandi." I called and I know she gets the reason for me calling her ..I want her to stop and step away from my way.

"My lady, you've already refused to go when the Empress asked you to and the meeting has already started so you are going in now ..it won't seem right.

"How so?" I asked but I really don't want to hear her reasons, I just wish for her to move out of my way because there's no way in hell that I won't go in to see my brother on the day he's going to be set free ..free as a bird. god! It's been eleven years since I last saw him ..who knows how he now looks like. Anyways, I know I will still recognize him.

"You didn't go when they first asked you to but now that they all know your brother isn't going to die ..you're going in. I know you don't care what they think but don't make them think that the reason why the Empress is setting your brother free is because of you." Jandi said, bringing me out of my imagination.

"But the reason why the Empress is setting my brother free isn't because of me, she even told me herself that she won't do it because of me."

"Well, that's what she told you Lady Nana but we all know she did it because of you."

"I don't know Jandi but.. All I want right now is to be in there, I want to hear what they're discussing. I want to see my brother". I told Jandi and after a while as if an idea just popped into her mind, she started leading me toward a direction that I'm not familiar with.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked her confused, but she didn't answer me, she just kept on leading me to an unfamiliar place which is quite unknown to someone who thought she knew everywhere in the palace.

Jandi suddenly stopped walking in front of a door that is surrounded by lots of guards that I haven't seen before. I watch her as she says something to a guard whom I guess is the senior in ranking then points a finger at me and immediately the guards all saw me, they bow in greetings.

After a while the tall one opened the door for me and told me to enter but not to let the Empress know that I'm there.

Immediately I turn my head to inspect my surroundings, my eyes almost didn't believe what's it seeing, I turn my head towards the entrance to call for Jandi but the door is closed ..I guess she can't come in with me as this is where only the Empress herself stays when ever she doesn't want to be disturbed. I sign in dissatisfaction because I actually want my friend here with me but I guess It's going to be only me which is still alright as I get to see my brother ..even though he's kneeling down like a criminal ready for his execution.
