(Josie's POV)

I heard an engine shut off and ran outside.

Next to my Skylance, there sat a Mastadon M40 box truck.

I didn't see Brent anywhere.

I heard a twig snap next to my feet and I was lifted off of the ground as he suddenly appeared.

The faceplate was open and I kissed him, crying as my heart pounded.

"Get that suit off! I wanna be held right!" I cried.

He was out in a few seconds and was totally nude. He also smelled horrid but, I didn't care!

I leapt into his arms and kissed him deeply.

Letting go, I got down.

"Okay. Now you may go bathe." I said, feeling immense joy at him being home.

He dragged the suit inside and put it in the shop.

Reaching into the bottom half, he removed two tanks.

One was nearly empty but had yellow liquid in it.

"The urine tank drains from outside of the suit but, not this one."

"No wonder you smell bad..." I said.

"The suit can't keep me clean enough to prevent odor but, at least I won't have to worry about cleaning a bunch of excrement out of it."

"Oh, yeah. Where are your clothes?" I asked.

"The hip cargo compartments." He said as we walked for his bedroom.

"So. How did everything go?" I asked.

"As smoothly as it could have.

I was bothered by one of the three compounds.

It was an old federal prison and a feline F2 morph ran it.

Kelly Jefferson's daughter, Donna Jefferson."

"Wait. Miss Kelly is one of the morphs who worked with dad and the others to re-establish the city." I said.

"Right. The information I got said that they'd been estranged for more than 50 years."

"Oh. That was before the city was restored."

He grabbed a change of clothes and stepped into the tub.

I followed him.

"Um... what are you doing?" He asked.

"I need to bathe too and I thought that we could bathe together.

I'll scrub your back, if that's alright." I said.

He calmed down

"If you're certain."

"I am."

He sat down and I turned the water on warmer than I care for, but, this is for him, not me.

When the tub was filled enough, we bathed. I got behind him and washed his back, neck and hair.

After he rinsed off, I got back in front of him and laid against him.

He held me.

"Josie. Will you marry me?" He asked.

I looked into his eyes.

"Yes." I said, kissing him.

"When, though?" I asked.

"Whenever you like." He said.
