"Nice to meet you, katie," Pope said, and she returned a smile

"I know everyone is still confused, but we should leave," she said, but Veronica spoke before we could reply

"Leave?" Veronica laughed
"Don't tell me you're leaving me," She called, and Katie gave her a death stare

"Maybe if you would've been more honest with me and wouldn't threaten me about things, I would've like to stay with you," Katie responded

"But hey, I found the one who catched a grenade for me and made me survive dad's violence." She added and stepped closer to Veronica, dropping a little necklace down.

"And what about me? Your mother? I made you, I raised you up! I gave you a home, katie!" Veronica argued

"You raised me through a hell! You only gave me a home so you wouldn't be alone if Luke didn't visit you! And if he did you would let me sleep outside in the fucking cold Veronica" katie shouted back and looked down

"Now you can tell me, to leave 'your' house"
"Because I will." She added quietly and walked out of the room

We stood there frozen while jjs eyes formed into a line and he looked at Veronica. I just knew this wouldn't end up good.

"You know, sometimes I'm even wondering why I didn't just let you get killed -" jj started. It wasn't normal for him to talk like this, not to his worst enemie he would never emphasize the phrase like he actually meant it.

"But know I'm even wondering why I can't be the one who kills you," he continued stepping closer to her

"Ok, hey dude -" John b stepped to his side .

"We will see each other again, Veronica." Jj said, moving nothing but his eyes.
Sarahs breath got faster, and I tried to calm her.

"I promise." Jj clenched his jaw and followed where katie left.

Pope, cleo, John b Sarah and Me exchanged a look, and we nodded to leave.

"Wait-" cleo stopped
"What about the cross?" She asked

"No time, let's go!"John b replied, and we stormed out.

We made our way over to katie and jj. Katie was trying to calm jj, but he was walking in a line.

"Everyone made it out?" Pope asked as he took a few breaths

"Yes!" Cleo replied while leaning against the bid church door behind her. "Never ever going in there again!" She added still out of breath.

"Where do you guys go now?" Katie asked, and I walked over to jj. Soon, they started to talk, but I was focused on jj.

"J? Are you okay?" I asked, and he stopped and looked back at me. He looked me up and down, and it made me nervous

"Yeah," he replied in more questioning voice

I forced a smile while I disappeared into my thoughts.
He was acting like a psycho and it made me wonder what was going on in his mind -

We walked to our 'home' and sarah showed katie the house, John b and Pope cleaned the kitchen and cleo, jj and Me chilled in the living room.

"You guys wanna play cards tonight?" I asked, and they nod but shrugged at the same time.

"We could do that," jj replied and stood up
"Imma go call someone, be right back." He smiled and walked outside to our front yard

"Is it me, or is he kinda scary since the thing with katie?" Cleo laughed, but I didn't cause I was saying the same thing all the time.

"Definitely." I agreed and she stopped laughing.

~jjs pov~

So basically rafe texted me and said I should call him. I first did hesitate cause I don't know what the pouges would think of me- but me and him are half brothers and we some day we would need to talk to eachother.

"Rafe?" I asked into the phone when he picked up

"Yo" he replied
"What's good?" He added

"Not much, what do you need?" I replied

"Look, I heard you found out Katie is still alive" he said
"And I was wondering if she's doing Okey?" He added

"Yeah she's fine, just Veronica-" I started but he cut me of

"Veronica? Isn't she dead?" Rafe asked confused

"Nah, I kept her alive" I said and he laughed

"Luke told me about it, but he didn't say she's still alive-" rafe said
"Well, I do know my next mission" rafe added and I tensed at his sudden confirmation

"Mission? What mission are you gonna do?" I asked

"I just don't feel comfortable knowing she's out there and she could ruin your,mine, Sarah's and Katies life again" he made a quick break

"Get what I am saying?" He continued

"Actually rafe- wanna talk in person?" I asked

"You sure? We basically should still hate eachother even if we're related-" rafe joked and I smiled " Yeah we could. I think I can make it tomorrow at where ever you are"

"Good, I make sure katie and sarah be there too" I replied

"Nice, well then let's say nothing happend with those other pouges. To be clear I only built contact with you katie and sarah. The others are still not on my liking list." Rafe mentioned and I agreed

"Don't worry just this one mission" I smirked and he laughed

"See you tomorrow jj" rafe said

"Tomorrow." I responded And hang up

I don't know if that's a good idea, working with rafe cameron- but we'll see how that works out..
Now I only need to get sarah and katie agree.

I walked inside again throwing my phone on the couch while kie looked at me. I do feel guilty about lying to her, them. But I just need to make sure Veronica is gone.

"John b called you" kie smiled before I could sit down, I nodded and gave her a kiss on her forehead before walking into the kitchen

~kies pov~

I read a book, and cleo was trying to learn hacks with her knife.

I saw some light next to me and noticed jjs phone buzzing. I sat up and looked at the number.       'Veronica'

I looked at the direction the kitchen was and stood up walking into me and jjs room.

I hesitated to pick up but I couldn't hold myself.

"Hello?" I asked

"Jj?" She sobbed

"No- its kiara, his girlfriend. What do you want?" I replied

"Hey kiara" she cried
"Could you let jj know-" she started but cried instead of continuing

"Veronica what is going on?" I asked

"I know I'm a fucking bad person ok? I just want a normal life!" She whispered while she cried harder

"I didn't want nothing of this to happen! Never! I lost everything!" She continued

I would lie if I said it didn't hurt me.

"Please- please- tell him, katie and sarah How much sorry I am. And I am so thankful for having them! I never wanted to ruin them! These drugs changed me! I just can't control myself" she screamed and cried at the top of her lungs

"Calm down" I whispered
"Hey-" I sneaked my head out of the doorframe but no one was near

"I let them know ok? I'll help you made things better" I added and she just cried again.

"Thats it. That's all I want. Just tell them" she sniffed and hung up.

Ouch.

I took a deep breath and walked back to the living room laying jjs phone back to where it was. Luckily he still wasn't back from the kitchen.
