The next morning we were talking about a plan to get the goddamn cross. Pope was really hyped this time while everyone else was unsure.

I looked over at jj, he sat 2 seats next to me and had his arms crossed looking at the table zoned out.

I took a deep breath and looked away again " what about we forget about the cross?" I asked And popes smiled faded into a confused one

"What? Why should we do that?-" He responded and that made jj snap back

I shrugged and before anyone could say anything Lainey woke up.

"Hey cutie" Sarah smiled as she ran into her arms and cuddled. Jj had an proud, emotionally and small smile on his lips, that made me also smile

"So about the plan-" pope continued
"We get to the place and just take the goddamn cross."

"Pope, we can't lose it again. And rigth now we have other problems" I replied and he stood up

"We don't have the time to wait." He protested and his voice made me get goosebumps.

He walked to the door and looked back at us "Now ya coming or not?"  He asked in the same voice

I looked at jj and at Sarah with Lainey in her arms. Sarah shrugged but jj made the expression he does when he knows that he'll regret it but does it anyway. So I took that as a yes from him.

"Fine." I responded And stood up placing my palms on the table and laying over it closer to sarah

"You stay here?" I asked pointing at Lainey
She nodded slowly "Just please be careful" she whispered

"We will, see you then" I replied and we walked outside, I was behind jj and pope and infront of John b with cleo, so pope and jj leaded us.

I look back at John b and he seemed unsure and afraid, so I slowed down a bit making him walk next to me.

"Thats what you get for not speaking up b" I said and he looked at me doubtful

"Yeah, it is." He replied and cleo stopped walking looking shocked , we copied her and looked up where she was staring

It was like a tunnel but it was huge. And it didn't look really comfortable.
I looked into the front, as I noticed jj and pope were almost there.

"JJ HEY WAIT MAN!" I heard john b shouting as he started running to them,
Cleo did aswell and I felt like I couldn't walk anymore.

I felt my breath hitch and that was all I needed to know how bad I actually was afraid of the whole thing.

"Kie! Come on" pope shouted to me and I walked to them. When I got there,jj look at me like he was asking me if everything's Ok, so I forced a smile, while the others entered the tunnel.

We walked a few miles but the tunnel never ended it was endless.

"And the cross is really hidden here?" I asked confused looking around disgusted

"Yeah." Pope answered as we walked to a crossing. "Where to?" Cleo asked looking at the three ways

"Let's first look at which one there's light on the other side." John b said and we did.
Me and jj went into one of the way and looked if there was an way out.

"Ayo kie" jj interrupted calling me over

"What is it?" I asked as I looked around to find what he was calling me for

"Isn't there a get hole at the end of this way?" He asked and pointed into the distance

I looked closer as I noticed it too
