As Mahira pushed me away and stood up, I couldn't help but smirk. She thought she could escape me that easily? Oh, Mahii, she had no idea what she was getting herself into.I watched her hurry out of the room, her cheeks still flushed from our encounter. I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She liked me too, I could tell. And that nickname - Mahii - it was mine now. She was mine.
I leaned back , steepling my fingers together as I thought about our little exchange. She was feisty, I'd give her that. But I loved it. I loved the way she stood up to me, the way she blushed when I called her Mahii.
Sanyukta poked her head in, looking apologetic. "Mahira , Kevin's looking for you . "
I chuckled to myself, thinking about the look on Mahira's face when she realized she was mine. Oh, this was going to be fun. I was going to enjoy every moment of this little game we were playing.
And as I stood there, lost in thought, I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets Mahira was hiding. But one thing was for sure - I was going to find out. She was mine now, and I always got what was mine.
I was sitting in my office, waiting for Mahira to arrive, when I heard a faint crash. I looked up to see her standing in front of the glass door, rubbing her nose and looking utterly confused.
I couldn't help but chuckle at my Mahii. She was so lost in thought that she hadn't even noticed the door. I was about to get up and help her, but before I could, Kevin appeared out of nowhere and started assisting her.
My smile faltered. I didn't like Kevin around her. He was too friendly, too charming. I knew he had a crush on her, and I wasn't about to let him get anywhere near my Mahii.
I stood up, my eyes narrowing as I watched Kevin help Mahira into the office. "Thanks, Kevin," I said gruffly. "I'll take it from here."
Kevin looked at me, his eyes flicking with understanding. He knew better than to cross me. "Sure thing, Sir ," he said, beating a hasty retreat.
Mahira looked up at me, her eyes still dazed. "Veeranshu, I'm so sorry... I wasn't paying attention..."
I smiled, my expression softening. "It's okay, Mahii. "
I walked over to her, my eyes never leaving hers. "don't worry, I'll make sure you're taken care of from now on."
I gestured to my chair, and Mahira hesitated for a moment before sitting down. She was about to protest, but I stopped her by pulling the chair closer to me, trapping her in place.
"Veeranshu, what are you doing?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of amusement .
I leaned in, my face inches from hers. "I'm taking care of you, Mahii. You're going to sit there and listen to what I have to say."
Her eyes sparkled with defiance, but she didn't try to get up. I knew she was curious, and I was going to use that to my advantage.
I pulled out a file from my drawer and opened it, revealing the contents. Mahira's eyes widened as she saw the papers inside.
