'She is my wife Tanya, Tanya shivaay Singh Oberoi'

Those words broke the hearts of Oberois. Their son was not doing good with Annika whom he married recently and disappeared at wedding night itself. They had not expected even in their wild dreams that he would come back holding the hands of another woman, claiming her as his wife. They told him, shouted at him that Annika is his wife, not tanya. They can't see Annika's heart breaking down. His response was not expected. He asked, who is Annika! They do not know what to do? To be happy for seeing him back after days or to be mad at him for doing this to Annika. She was the one who waited for him patiently even when they lost hope.

The sound of pearls touching the floor caught their attention. She was there, standing with bloodshot eyes and unshed tears in them. Her hand clutched to the thread of her broken nuptial chain, a few pearls remaining in it. They could do nothing rather than be taken aback when she rubbed her hand over her hairline to wipe off the vermillion. They know shivaay deserved that. On the other hand, it broke shivaay to see her destroying the signs of their relationship. It took everything in him to scream at her and stop her from doing that. But his family's reputation came into his vision to make him stand still. Everyone did watch her storming off but they had nothing to say. Their accusing gaze hurt shivaay, he did nothing but bent down and gulped to hold himself from breaking down in front of them.

Annika is hurriedly packing her clothes from their room which is no more theirs. Tears were blurring her sight but she continued to do. She wanted to cry hard but she doesn't think he even deserved her tears. Everything had a limit and he crossed it now. How could he even think of doing something like this to her? As if she has no heart and feelings. She thought after the last separation their relationship became stronger and he would not hurt her anymore. But he proved it wrong.  She is strong, but her heart is not, that he had weakened it with his love. His mere words are capable of breaking it, he does that too, all the time. Once her packing is done she stormed out of the room with a bundle of papers. When he spotted him at the poolside, She stepped closer as his back faced her

'Mr. Oberoi, hope I did not disturb you'

He wiped his tears and maintained a firm look before turning to face her

'I know you don't remember getting married to me. Unfortunately, we are legally married. you have to sign these divorce papers to get rid of me. Otherwise, in the eyes of law, we will remain husband-wife. Besides, I don't want to be connected with you in any way. So kindly sign on this. I guess a sign will cost you nothing'

She firmly told forwarding the papers. He wanted to say, 'that sign costs his life'. Composing himself, he held the set of papers somehow

' do you mind submitting it at court. If you have any trouble I can do that'

She keenly looked at him for an answer

'Ha'

He told a yes as he know if he chose to give it to her, he have to sign right then. He does not even want to sign ever

'Fine. I will visit the court whenever need'

She coldly told before marching out, dragging the language along. Neither her eyes was teary nor she was weak. There was zero regret
