POV: Travis

I stared at Katie's face. She was unconscious; she didn't even look peaceful. That's what bothered me.

"Katie-kat...." I whispered, "please come back to me..." I looked at her, expecting something to happen. Nothing did.

"Where is she?!" An angry female yelled at Will.

"In there!" Will shouted back.

Miranda came storming in, "What did you do?!" She demanded.

"I didn't save her...." I said sadly, "It should've been me that Luke stabbed."

Miranda's stare softened, "I'm sorry.." She sat down next to her sister and held her hand.

"I guess I'm head counselor now..." she said softly.

"If you need any help..." I offered.

"Thanks," she looked down, "Can you help with Rosy?"

"Yeah, yeah. Absolutely," I said.

"Will," Miranda shouted, "Can you bring in Rosy?"

A few minutes later, Rosy came in. Her cheeks were tear stained. She walked over to me and climbed into my lap.

"Will she be ok...?" Rosy asked me.

"I don't know," I admitted.

"Are you ok?" She asked me.

"A little better now that you're here," I smiled at her. She put her head on my shoulder.

Rosy and I sat there for who knows how long. She eventually fell asleep.

——time skip——

Katie has been out for a month now. Will was getting worried. Everyone was. Rosy was scared for her sister. She hadn't left my side.

The only time she left me, was when Will needed to talk to me. Today.

"Travis," Will didn't want to say what he was about to, "If Katie's conditions worsen... we may just have to let her go.."

My heart dropped. "What can we do..?"

"Do you want to see her and talk to her just in case we have to...." Will didn't complete his sentence. He didn't need to.

"I don't know..." I said. "Do you think she'll get better...?"

"No..." Will admitted.

"How long does she have..?"

"At best," Will paused, "a month..."

"Let's do it..." I said.

Will nodded.

"Tell Miranda and Rosy," Will told me.

I nodded and went to find them.

I went to the Demeter cabin and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Miranda yelled from inside.

"Me," my voice cracked.

The door opened and Rosy hugged my legs. I picked her up.

"We're going to wake her up..." I said sadly.

"So we can say goodbye..?" Miranda asked. I nodded. "Let's go see her..."

Together we walked to the infirmary.

Just wait.
