Aron's Pov
Finding my sister and Miss Rodriguez's bestfriend in my house at night was the last thing I had expected, but to make matters worse I think we might had just crashed their night judging by how the lights were off and to top it of they were all wearing pyjamas indicating they were having a slumber party or a girls night in still sounds the same to me.
Left with no other choice I had to take the spot right next to Miss Rodriguez since it was the only spcae on the couch left. Aidan in a blink of an eye rushed to seat next to Isabella I swear the moment he hears her name or sees her he loses all sense he literally becomes a love sick puppy.
While Ivan took a sit next to his wife Emily and they cuddled, if I one day happen to fall inlove I want a relationship like theirs, but safe to say that will never happen the last time I loved a woman she ruined and destroyed me the little ounce of heart I had left in me vanished into thin air and now I'm nothing but a cold heartless Aron Mondragon.
Looking at the woman sitting right next to me Miss Rodriguez who also happens to be Mrs Aron Mondragon I don't know why I keep on addressing her as Miss Rodriguez I guess I've gotten so used to calling her that which results in me finding it hard to address as her my wife.
An innocent soul like hers deserved far more better then to be tied down to a man like me , but I couldn't help it I had to be selfish and ask her to marry me she was the only woman aside from my Mom and sister that I also trusted and which I knew would respect our family policy which is to keep our personal lives private at all costs since she also lived a reversed private life.
Speaking of her personal life there's not much I know of honestly besides her career path, credentials and the loan she had trouble paying of I don't know if she had a boyfriend not that I care, but the best thing for her to do out of this arrangement is to never by any chance fall inlove with me I could never reciprocate her feelings I don't have it in me to love I am cold and heartless for a reason.
There are just things and events that can scare one for life.
" Hey man you okay, you seem so out of space " Aidan said bringing me out of my chain of thoughts
"Yeah I'm good" I said blankly hoping he would catch that I'm in no mood to talk
"Well you don't look okay we have been talking for the past thirty minutes and you didn't even once bother to jerk your head and take part " he said
"Well Aidan I'm sorry to burst your bubble and pretend that everything is okay, you know perfectly well the day I had and if sitting here watching some dumb ass movie helps you to get your mind of things then so be it just don't expect it to work for me" I said with anger and annoyance laced in my voice
"I know it perfectly well the day you had I know it's not easy but come on man there's no need for you to be a dick head about it " he said
"Really now I'm being a dick head about it, I'm the CEO everything that happens weighs on my shoulders we need a solution in a week before Dad finds out everything, huhh how do you think he will look at me once he finds out that this marriage of mine is a sham how do you think they will look at all of us cause we all know the truth" I said now I was no longer sitting down I was on feet he needed to understand how damn serious this was
"Okay man come down let's think drastically" Ivan finally spoke
"I can't Ivan maybe you can but I can't this is serious by next week Monday the deal should be finalized and signed we have a week to get through Mr Lockwood cause I know for a fact that I can't tell him that my assistant is my wife if that happens we are all doomed
"Ivan what's going on I'm not following" Miss Rodriguez asked
"Well Danna the thing is we can't back out on the deal reason is media companies already know about this deal since it's huge if we back out now then the media will start questioning why which will lead to them finding out that Mr Lockwood wanted his assistant to marry his son in order for Mondragon Inc to secure the deal once they know that we rejected this offer they will investigate and they will also find out that the reason we rejected the offer is because Mr Mondragon is married to his assistant that's why Aron is messed up right now " Ivan explained to her in one breath
"Wow this is really messed" Emily said
" I don't know maybe there is a way there has to be one" she said
" Yeah D I'm sure there is one but the thing is what will it be cause my mind is blank right now all of our minds are blank right now " he said defeatedly
"Now you see " I said
"I have an idea, but I don't know if you guys will approve of it" Isabella spoke jerking me up my attention was now completely on her
"Which is" Aidan said
"Look guy's I know the last thing you want is to play dirty, but I'm afraid given the situation we are facing you don't have much of a choice matter fact y'all don't have a choice at all.
What she said was true we don't have a choice at all I guess will have to play dirty which is the last thing I wanted
"What is it Isa speak " Miss Rodriguez said
She positioned herself to speak and all the attention was now on her
"Well everyone knows that Mr Lockwood is no saint he plays dirty but he's good at one thing covering his tracks and the only people who are in the spotlight in his family is him, his brother and son. No signs of his wife we do know that he's married but it's like he's buried all trace of her " she said
" Sorry but I'm not following care to explain deeply" I said
"Rumour once had it that he put his wife in a mental institution and locked her up there for years. But no media company ever covered that I guess when money is involved anything is possible. What I'm trying to say is we investigate his wife find it if it's true and if it is use that against him but also when doing so lay out our conditions meaning he will have to know that Danna is your wife so he won't be able too use that against you in future draw up a contract present him information and pictures about his wife that he would kill if they got out sign the contract and burry it right then and there" she said in one breath
" This is risky, but at the same time the best idea we have" Ivan said
" Yeah but Aron what do you think " Aidan asked me
"Truthfully man it's the best we have not just the best but the only thing we have and though it's hard to admit I somewhat love this idea " I said
The only thing left was to put this idea into action
"So when can we start " Ivan start
"Well we can start by getting some drinks so Isabella can explain further the idea since I can feel this night just got a bit longer" I said
