beginning information ⋆ ★

This story is set to start a few weeks before the eras tour started. The whole book is heavily focused on mental health, touching subjects such as self harm, eating disorders e.g AS WELL AS ABUSE AND RAPE so if this triggers you please DO NOT READ. 

If you are continuing to read, I hope that you enjoy! I'm trying to do a bit of a different thing to the book I'm also writing rn  ( to live for the hope of it all ) but still keeping everything mainly focused on mental health because mine is shit and Taylor brings me comfort. I do love giving myself a million and one things to do 🙄. Always have to love a good distraction though 🤷‍♀️. Anywho enjoy!! 

Character introductions:

Alana Brookes: 

Alana, nicknamed Allie, is a 13 year old girl who struggles with her mental health. She goes through life with a I don't give a fuck  attitude. She always has her headphones in, most definitely listening to Taylor Swift. Alana finds herself spending most of her time out with friends after spending hours getting ready while singing. She loved to sing, you could never stop her from doing it, you could always find her singing to the younger kids in the home. She is the biggest feminist, but also struggles with anxiety however you can barely tell half the time when her emotions get the best of her. Alana is 100% a girls girl, she loves makeup, jewelry and clothes. 

Ethan Jackson:

Ethan is 16 years old, he also lives in the foster home with Alana. When Alana arrived, Ethan took her in as if she was his little sister, he was 11 and she was 8, and since then they have been inseparable. He is Alana's joy in life, always knowing how to make her feel better. Ethan is the typical teenage boy, addicted to his phone and either in his room or out with his friends, however he always seemed to be keeping Alana out of trouble.

Piper Moore:

Piper, like Alana, is 13. The two of them are the best of friends, but are the complete opposites. Unlike Alana, Piper was always reading, had the perfect grades and was the goody-two shoes of the pair. Alana always seemed to drag Piper into places she didn't want to be but Piper still loved her. Piper put up with Alana's extremely unhealthy Taylor Swift addiction and was her best friends cheerleader. Piper's family had always been welcoming to Alana however Alana always had felt better alone.

Aurora

Aurora is the kitten that Alana had recently found on the street while out at night, luckily Helen (Piper's mum) is a vet and checked Aurora up for free. When it was confirmed that she was healthy, Alana was desperate for the kitty to be hers, not taking no for an answer. Aurora herself is a playful, indoor kitten who loves people. Her and Alana are inseparable, always finding them snuggling or playing together. Aurora finds it fascinating when Alana sings Taylor Swift lyrics at her and loves the attention.

Taylor Swift:

Taylor is the worlds treasure, the pure woman was a huge part of keeping Alana alive for as long as she is, even if they had never met. Taylor's smile brightened the room and you could always spot her from her usual red lip. She has the kindest soul, always wanting to be the problem fixer and be there for everyone.
