All of us charge towards the group of robots. I blast about three through the head and Nat manages to disable about seven of them easily. Everyone else runs out the door in hopes of stopping the bombs.

I use my repulses to fly me out as Peter webs up multiple robots at once and I blast them.

Flashes of bright light appear before my eyes as a few of the bombs explode. I watch as pieces of the ground and the core fly off only to hear a scream and see them be forced back into place.

"Keller is the one doing all this," says Peter.

"We need to find him. Nova will make sure nothing actually explodes," he continues.  I nod.

"So," Clint says as he turns to face Steve. "How does it feel to be taking orders from a teen?" Steve sighs and face palms himself. It's honestly amazing how childish Clint can be when this could very well be the apocalypse.

"FRIDAY, scan the area. See who's here," I say.

The screen in front of me instantly shows me two people. One in the room across to my right, and one curled up on the floor below me. That would be Nova.

"Boss," I hear FRIDAY say concerned. "She has a 97% chance of death in the next ten minutes."

I run to Keller as the others follow me. A single tear escapes my eye.

"I'm sorry, Nova," I whisper. I think we all knew that she would have to go, one way or the other.

Stephen opens a portal below Keller's feet and opens one right in front of him. He falls to the ground and I instantly shoot him the same time Clint does. The arrow made a hole in the chest which my blasters burned. He winced in pain and hisses.

"Did we stop it?" Nat asks. No one replies so she walks up angrily and steps on Kellers chest.

"Did we stop it!?" She repeats and pushes down. Keller chuckles.

"You stopped it, yeah. But you started something else entirely," his raspy voice croaks out.

He motions for Stephen to come closer to him but I manage to grip his wrist.

"It's okay, honey," he says. I release him and he stoops down so Keller can whisper something in his ear. His face goes pale.

I look for something which could've gone wrong. Another explosion, someone's wounded, something's missi- someone is missing. Peter.

"Peter!" I yell panicked into the halls as I run. "Peter!" I hear a few sobs. His sobs.

It's coming from downstairs and I get down there as soon as possible. He's clutching Nova. She's surrounded in a pool of blood so large that I don't think she'll ever be able to survive it. Her skin is near gray and her eyes are glazed over.

I kneel down beside her and take my armor off and run a hand through Peter's hair as I hold Novas cold hand.

"Come back," Peter whispers. "Please please please please please. You wouldn't leave me. I know that."

I cry a little. But I wipe my tears away quickly before grabbing Nova's necklace and trying to pull Peter upstairs. He fights back a little as he sobs.

"Mr. Stark, no. Please. Save her!" He yells. "We can save her, I'm sure! Please."

I know it's impossible. But if I bring her at least we could have a burial. So I put the powerful and glowing necklace on her cold neck before walking up the stairs with Peter following me.

We all get on the ship as the team surrounds Nova's body, realizing she really is gone. Peter sobbed and begged for Bruce to try to bring her back. He knew that wasn't possible but he tried just to make Peter feel better.

"Guys," Bruce said sounding very concerned. "She has a heartbeat."

We all surround him in shock.

"I mean, it's faint, but it's there."

And so, we went home.
