AFTER the interviews, Lilith and Finnick had changed and now Lilith sat on the roof cuddling with Finnick. The two hadn't said a word to each other after the interviews, silently thinking.

"There's no way they'll cancel," Lilith spoke up.

"Enough about the games, darling," Finnick played with her hair, "Let's talk about us."

"Us?"

"Yes. What are we?" Finnick asked causing her to look up at him.

"What do you want to be?" she looked into Finnick's baby blue eyes as she asked.

"I want to be with you," Finnick answered. He stared at her for a moment before gingerly placing his hands on the side of her face. In a single motion, he bent forward and kissed her gently.

When his lips touched hers, time stood still and Lilith's heart hammered in her chest. Finnick's lips were gentle on Lilith's, causing her stomach to twist in knots. The city's clamour faded into oblivion as the two became engrossed in each other.

Finnick prayed she wouldn't push him away from him. But when she kissed him back, his heart leapt with ecstasy. Kissing her felt like he'd opened up his soul and captured happiness in a bottle.

As Lilith pulled away she smiled, "Are you sure you're not kissing me because I'm attractive?"

"There's a distinction between kissing someone because they're gorgeous and kissing someone because words can't adequately express your love for them," Finnick replied looking at her in adoration. Lilith smiled at his poetic words and kissed his lips once more.

When they pulled away Finnick joked, "Who knew the great Lilith Viper could be capable of feelings."

"I was always capable of feelings. I just don't like to express them," Lilith shrugged, "What are we?"

"You are my girlfriend," Finnick replied.

"Since when?"

"Since now. Lilith Circe Viper, will be my girlfriend?" Finnick asked.

"Well since you implied that I would be before you asked I guess I have to say yes," she joked. He smiled kissing her lips. She got up, "Come on, it's getting cold and I want to cuddle more."

He followed her into the elevator and down to her floor, she took him towards her room. Their last act together was to cuddle on her bed before they went to sleep.

Lilith heard shuffling in her room. She peeled one eye open and saw Jackson and Johanna freeze.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Nothing," Johanna replied before the two scrambled out of her room. Lilith relaxed into her bed as kisses were pressed on her shoulders. She remembered the night before and smiled. She rolled over to see Finnick rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Good morning."

"My brother and Johanna know," Lilith said snuggling into him more.

"It's fine," Finnick kissed her forehead, "I should go. I'll see you in the arena," Lilith nodded and he kissed her lips before leaving.

Lilith sighed and got out of the bed, going into the bathroom. She showered and changed before going out to get breakfast.

She sat as Elsa and Jackson looked at her suggestively.

"What?"

"What's with you and Finnick?" Jackson asked.

"What's with you and Johanna. Because I know your lazy ass wouldn't go all the way to her floor to get her to come to see me and Finnick cuddling," Lilith countered. Jackson stayed quiet.

"He and Johanna had sex last night," Elsa blurted.

"Elsa!"

"Sorry Jackson," Elsa said guiltily.

"I knew it! I knew you liked her," Lilith muttered. She picked up some bread and spread some jam on it.

"Enough about Jackson. What about you and Mr Odair?" Elsa asked.

"Nothing much. He asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes," Lilith shrugged like it was no big deal. The two blinked at her, "What?"

"I hear wedding bells," Jackson grinned.

"Don't be stupid, Jacks."

Lilith had been given her tracker earlier and she was now with Leto in the launch room.

"The suit's light. Slick. I'm guessing there'll be water and it'll be hot," Leto said as she zipped up the suit.

"Sixty seconds to launch."

"Thank you, Leto. For everything," Lilith smiled at her tightly.

Leto pulled the girl into a hug, "Try not to die."

"It's inevitable."

"I know," she mumbled, "I'm really going to miss you." Leto pulled back and looked up to hold in the tears.

"Who wouldn't," Lilith joked.

"Ten seconds to launch."

Lilith took a deep breath and entered the tube. As it closed Leto smiled warmly as a tear slipped out of her eye. She was pushed upwards and the shining light from above blinded her.

The tributes were on pedestals separated by rocks. In front of them was water and the cornucopia was beyond it. Lilith looked around her at the tributes and saw Finnick not far from her.

"Let the 75th Hunger Games begin," Claudius' voice came over the PA, "May the odds be ever in your favour." Lilith crouched down, preparing to dive in, as he started counting down.

"Ten."

"Nine."

"Eight."

"Seven."

"Six."

"Five."

"Four."

"Three."

"Two."

Lilith prepared to jump.

"One."

The cannon fired and she dove.
