Recognizing the obstruction within
Unplanned, but persistent
My reflection meets a forceful collision
A revolt against witnessing agony
Agony, relentless agony
Ascending to a realm of discomfort
Transforming hurt into loathing
A dreadful anticipation
Resurfacing of distorted emotions
Yet, the inner ache wanes
An escalation beyond reason
Long overdue, this descent
Through the passage of time, I've lingered
But no longer can I mourn
As something stirs within
I defy the label imposed
You've seized it all and now,
I withhold further surrender
A query arises
Shall I discard it all?
Reclaim what rightfully belongs to me

Hatred birthed from affliction
