Ch.3 My Hero!

I thought about what Lupe said.

She is crazy I thought.

I'm here for one day and a guy already has his eyes glued to me.

"Come on Mia let's go to 4th period. Maybe science will cheer you up!" Lupe suggested.

We entered the classroom and our science teacher mrs.

Gomez was standing at the door greeting everyone.

The classroom was filled with lab tables that were meant for two students.

Lupe sat at a lab table with dreamer and I sat in the lab table next to them.

"We didn't have science classes like this at my old school."

"Really? Was your old school a small school?" Replied dreamer.

"Yes. I lived in a small town so a big high school wouldn't be a good idea."

"Is this seat taken?" Said a deep voice from behind.

I turn around to find Andres pointing at the empty chair next to me.

"No. You can sit there."

"Alright thanks"

"Your welcome" I replied.

"So Mia do you like it here so far?"

"Umm yea it's a nice school. I still have to get use to the whole idea tho."

I turned to look at Lupe and dreamer and find them making kissing faces at me.

I laughed at them and just shaked my head.

"I hope you are all comfortable sitting where you are because these are now your seats for the rest the year." Said mrs.Gomez

Everyone stayed silent.

We went over class rules and mrs.Gomez put on a video about lab safety.

I have to admit that video made me want to go to sleep.

The bell rang and class was over. What a relief I thought.

I walked out of class and felt someone grab me by the arm.

It was Andres.

"Hey Mia maybe we should kik it sometime you know get to know each other a little more."

"Uhh I'm not sure yet."

"Alright just let me know if you can."

"Okay." I replied as I walked away.

I didn't want flirt to catch me talking to him.

"What did Andres want?" Asked Lupe

"He just wanted to know if we could hangout sometime."

"And?" She smiled.

"Aaaaand what?"

"What did you say?"

"Well I said I didn't know yet?"

"I say you should hangout with him! Just don't let flirt find out unless you want ex girlfriend drama!"

"I know but I'm not ready for a relationship."

She understood what I meant and just smiled.

The lunch bell rang and it was my first time in the cafeteria.

It was a big cafeteria filled with different types of food for us to eat.

Lupe waved me over to a table where all the homegirls and homeboys were sitting.
