11 years later...

"Jamie! You're 16! Don't get childish to me!"

Jamie and Nico ran around the room, without caring that they have all the guests' attention.

"Give that back! Your uncles old." Nico sat down and pouted.

Jamie stopped running and went to where Nico is seating. She sadly gave back the photo to him.

"Got you."

With that, Jamie smacked Nico's forehead, which shocked and made the guests laugh.

"Okay okay, time's up." I fetch Jamie from Nico's place, who is being hugged now by Ben.

"Why did you do that?" I asked.

"He's always annoying to me mother." She signed.

I sighed and said, "That's Nico being Nico."

When she saw Rai approaching us, her face lits up.

Jamie squealed and hugged Rai with her toned enough arms.

"Miss me?"

Jamie nodded.

"The cake's here, would you like to do the honor?" Rai ushered Jamie to where the cake is.

When she blew her cake's candles, everyone cheered and clapped.

"Look at the both of you, enjoying your family." Mother said, who is no longer on the throne.

"Mother, you and Father didn't have to be here, we could have just visited you."

"No dear, I wanted to be here. I won't see my dear Jamie. There she is!" Mother limps as she walked to where Jamie is standing.

"Jamie!"

Jamie smiled a big one and hugged her grandmother.

"You're growing too fast."

"It's because of your daughter and her wife." She signed.

"Oh thank god it's them."

They both laughed.

"We're growing old." Rai hugged my waist.

"Our Jamie too. I wish that she can speak again, you know." I said.

"I agree, but have you noticed that she and Erica are friends?"

"Marge and Sabine's daughter?" I asked.

"Yes, that's her."

I shrugged. "We don't even know if the kid even plays for the other team."

"Oh darling, haven't you noticed the signs?"

"What signs?" I asked.

There are signs?

"You're missing out on our daughter."

She came even more close to me and whispered. "Maybe we could loosen you up, hmm?"

"Nikole! Rainatta! Come here!"

"Oh for god's sake," I said in frustration.

"Later baby." She winked.

Argh.

...

"So you just twist it and.."

"Yeah, that's basically it. How can you not learn how to braid your own hair?"

"Honey, I don't have a sister, technically."

I kissed the top of her head and hugged her from behind.

"You're so adorable." I sing-song.

We were interrupted by the loud knock on our door.

I opened it and I wasn't surprised that it's just Jamie.

"Yes, dear?"

She sighed and went inside the room, sitting at the edge of our bed.

"What's bothering you, princess?" Rai asked.

"I have something to tell you." She signed.

"What's it?"

"I think I am attracted to the same gender." She signed.

"Oh, honey."

We enveloped Jamie with a hug.

"Don't even overthink about it, it's good that you admitted it at a young age." Rai patted her back.

"Thanks, mom." She signed.

"So, who's the lucky girl?" I teased.

She smiled and blushed.

"It's Erica, I guess."

"Our baby's in love." We cooed and ruffled her hair.

"You go prove yourself to that girl that you're worth it, just like what I did with your mother." She lovingly smiled at me.

"I always love it when you get like that with each other." Jamie signed.

"You'll have someone soon baby girl," Rai said.

"And soon, you'll rule this kingdom," I said.

"Yeah, about that." Jamie signed.

We confusedly looked at her.

"I think I am going to take college in a different country." Jamie signed.

"You want to leave?" Rai asked.

"It's not like that mom, I just want to live a life where there's no pressure, like those teenagers in the movies." Jamie smiled.

I and Rai sighed. "We'll think about that."

Jamie squealed hugged us tightly.

"I love you, Mom, and mommy."

...

2 years later...

"Call or text us okay?" The teary-eyed Rai said.

"Mom, don't be dramatic. You can visit there anytime you want." Jamie signed.

"Yes darling, she can manage it there," I reassured Rai.

"Ma'am, your flight." The guard reminded Jamie.

Jamie nodded and bid us her last goodbye.

We watch the vehicle as it fades from our view.

"Alone with you," Rai said.

"Let's go inside, shall we?" I bit my lip and winked.

"That's unfair."

I ran and went inside the castle, our laughter echoing through the empty halls.

"Got you."

Rai tackled me down to the ground.

"You always win." I pouted.

"We have our own ways, missy."

She was about to lean down when I change our position.

"So I am the bottom now?"

"Shotgun."

I stood up and ran as fast as I could.

"Nikole! Get back down here!"

"Come and get me then."

I watched as Rai eagerly stood up from the ground and climbed up the stairs, walking slowly as she approaches me.

"In the end, both of us is the winner."

She closed the distance between us, resting her forehead to mine.

"Only death can make us apart." She whispered.

"And the only God can make us forever alive." I continued.

"I love you, Nikole Jeanne Pembleton."

"And I love you too Rainatta Margaux Pembleton."

We sealed our victory with a kiss.
