"The name's Rainatta."

I hastily turned my head, making a loud snap sound.

"Better take care of that neck."

Oh, sweet Jesus. Why did the bitch have to have this... appearance.

The princess herself is on her towel, her hair dripping wet, making the room not so quiet.

The art of water droplets and tension.

"See what you like?" She rudely laughed.

I shook my head and placed the tray on her nightstand.

"I'm just here to bring your meal." I excused myself and prepared myself to grab the door's knob.

"Wait."

Just like in movies, I slowly turned back to her again. Thank god she's dressed.

"You're my new servant right?"

I just nodded because I don't think I can form the right words at this moment.

"Comment t'appelles-tu?"

Can be french any sexier?

"I'm sorry, but I didn't get what you said."

She laughed and shook her head.

"I said, what's your name?"

"Oh. It's Jeanne."

"Jeanne...?"

"Jeanne Mazza."

"Hmm, your last name quite sounds familiar." She walked in front of me, her gaze not leaving my eyes.

"U-uh. It's just a coincidence then."

Damn it.

"Okay then. Thank you for bringing my food. You may go."

I nodded and left her room.

"That was tough," I whispered.

...

"You. Stuttered. In. Front. Of. Her."

"Girl, you're whipped." He added, laughing like a hyena.

"Stop doing that, your face looks nasty."

"Oh come on. It's about my sister we're talking about."

"So?" I said in a monotone voice.

"Do you like her?" He wiggled both his eyebrows.

"Wait, how did you know that..."

"It takes one to know one." He winked, just like what he did earlier.

"Argh!" I shouted in frustration.

"Oh my god, you actually like her!" He laughed again while rolling at the floor.

"I never stutter. Rai just seems to be...you know. Bold and intimidating."

"Okay. When is the wedding?"

"Dude!"

I slapped him with the pillow, making its content flying around the room.

"Ouch! Now you have to clean that!"

"What?! You were the one teasing me!"

Without any excuse, he left my room.

I stood up from the bed and went to the mirror.

In the past few days, I can see that my face seems to be more relaxed. The bags under my eyes aren't that visible anymore.

While examining my face, I noticed that the window is opened. It was never opened.

I grabbed the pen, ready to face the culprit.

"Who's there?"

When I was near the window a shadow appeared in front of me.

"Shit, Nico!" I whispered.

"Nikole! Hello to you too."

I lightly punched him in the chest, he faked a hurt expression.

"That's how you greet me after not showing at the place you promised to me?"

"That night went complicated." I lowered my voice.

"I know that there was a storm that night, so I guess someone offered you a ride, I was right." He gazed around the room.

"It turns out that it was the prince of Pembleton who offered me a ride with him."

"WHAT?!"

I abruptly placed my hand on his mouth, stopping him from shouting.

"Tone down your voice. The maids are just around."

He gasped, placing his palms on the sides of his face.

"So you're a maid?"

"How did you know that?"

"Oh well." He motioned my uniform.

"So, how's the family?"

"Just the usual, they didn't seem to notice you being gone for days. Father and Mother are too busy with the preparation, the witches are doing their thing."

"That's good to hear" I smiled.

"Enough about that, how are you?"

I smiled as I remember the people I met.

"I'm doing great actually. I love the environment here, although at first, everything was rough. I'm glad that I met this person."

This seems to earn Nico's interest.

"Who is that person?"

"It's Ben, the prince. We've been friends or should I say best friends. Then there's this, uh, a princess who seems to be...a bitch."

"A what?"

"A bitch."

"Yeah, I heard that, I just can't believe that you made contact with these people that easily." He said.

"You know what, I think I shall introduce you to Ben, the both of you will be good friends," I suggested, Nico, blushed.

That's what I am talking about.

"Maybe next time, I have to go." He stood up and hugged me.

"Thank you. You made this possible."

"I can't keep you being like that inside our kingdom." He said.

"Wait, how did you found me?"

"Your brother has many connections."

"Alright. Off you go. See you someday."

He nodded and made his exit outside the window.
