Chapter 11

Elliot pov

I look at my phone my mom's name is lighting, I don't know what to say I hide so many things from my parents they love me so much they are not like other parents I'm the worst son in the world

Sighing I answered " hi mom " I said playing with glass in my hand Samuel is sitting beside me a girl on his lap

" where are you Elli," she said worriedly that's my mom always thinking about me no matter what it's 10 pm and she's still awake

" at mason mom " I lied I can't tell her the truth " come home please I haven't seen you in a while I miss you," she said I shut my eyes holding myself from crying " I'm sorry mom I miss you too I will come home tomorrow," I said

" it's okay just the Hause looks empty without you and I want to spend some time with you," she said sounding sad I frown why is she talking like that

" what's going on mom," I ask " I can't talk in the phone I will talk to you tomorrow honey good night," she said and hung up I look at my phone what just happened

" I gotta go, " I said standing up " where are you going," he said looking up " home it's important," I said he nodded

I climb out of my car and run in the Hause all lights were off but on the corner was on I walk closer and saw my mom sitting on her lounge chair a scarf around her shoulders her glasses on and her favorite book in her hands

She looks so pale and weak I have never seen my mom like this the color of her rosy cheeks are gone her beautiful brown hair are white and dry I have never noticed her like this because she is always happy and smiles

I took my jacket off and walk towards her " mommy " I said and sat on the floor beside her knees she looked at me and smiled " hey baby " she said with her soft voice I smile and laid my head on her lap

" I missed you, mom," I said hugging her legs she chuckled and kissed my head " where is dad, " I ask as she runs her fingers through my hairs " asleep when he come home from work he was exhausted so I let him sleep," she said

" What did you wanna tell me, " I ask her fingers stopped moving I look up and kissed her hand " what's wrong mom," I ask she smiled and shook her head " nothing important baby I will tell you tomorrow don't worry," she said standing up and kissed my head " go sleep now you look tired," she said her voice cracking

I watched as she started walking towards stairs shakily holding her scarf tightly I feel like something is wrong

" mom," I said she turned around her skin turned white but she smiled " I love you," I said holding my tears

She was the only one that was with me when I had nightmares and cried all night when I come from schools crying because the students bullied me she was and is the only one who can not make me hate myself or feel disgusted she's the only one I can cry freely and she's the only one who can calm me down just with her rosy scent

I look at her face her expression changed but a smile was still on her face " I love you too, Elliot... " she said and fell down

" mom " I yell and run towards her I picked her head in my hand " mom wake up, " I said checking her pulse, my heart beating fast I don't want to lose her or I will lose myself

" dad, dad " I yell and picked her up in my arms I walk outside and laid her in the back of my car I saw dad running out when he saw mom he stopped and looked at her tears run down his face why is he crying

" don't worry everything will be okay she's just stressed, " I said to him more to myself for calming myself

I park the car outside the hospital and picked her in my arms I walk through the doors " help " I yell a nurse run towards me and showed me where I can lay her

The doctors took her immediately to another room dad looks scared why " dad what's going on " I ask putting my hand on his shoulder fresh tears fell from his eyes

" We hide from you," he said looking down " what did you hide from me, " I ask letting go of his shoulder

" your mom, she has cancer and she doesn't have time," he said choking I couldn't move it's like everything stopped she has cancer " your..joking..again dad right? If it is it's not funny at all " I said letting out a dry laugh

He shook his head " when " I ask calmly my eyes are burning " a year ago, your mom didn't wanna worry you so she hide from you and started the treatment but a month ago she couldn't do it anymore so she stopped the treatment " he said

I sat on the ground and lean against the wall, I'm not gonna cry she will be alright I won't lose her she promised I sallow the lamb in my throat and shut my eyes

" Mr. Wilson you can see her now," a male voice said I look up and saw a nurse I turn my head towards dad " go," he said smiling I nod walk in her room

There my beautiful mother laid on the bed with several tubes around her body an oxygen mask on her mouth my lips trembled but I didn't let a tear fell I don't want to cry

I sat on the chair beside her bed and placed her hand on my cheek she moved her head and looked at me " don't leave me please mom " I said as she ran her hand over my hair " I don't want to but sometimes you try your hardest, but things don't work out the way you want them to " she said

"I don't want to lose you," I said looking down " I will always be with you, even if you can't see me, forgive and don't let hate take over your heart listen to your heart not mind," she said shutting her eyes " I love you, mom," I said kissing her hand stand up

" I love you too honey," she said smiling her eyes still shut

I walk out the room looking down " go meet her dad " I said and sat on the chair...
