for the most part, she more or less forgot that she was the only female out of the six of them.
in the initial stages she was apprehensive about the fact, and was worried she'd be treated differently.

but no...

she was one of the boys to them.
and she honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

it had been almost a month of them all hanging out together and it was safe to say, they were a peculiar mix.

Wen was Chinese and was doing some computer engineering course or something of the sort.
he was a full blown geek and video game fanatic complete with glasses and khaki pants.
he was a second generation Chinese immigrant in america,
which meant school was important to him, and also doing everything his parents said.

Dylan was the only actual full blown American in the pack,
he was a white as they came and he actually was really good looking.
which made her wonder why he was in the pack in the first place.
he was the sportsy type and was there on a lacrosse scholarship.
he was ripped, tanned and a complete chick magnet.

Mathis was French creole, his parents moved from France when he was around seven.
he was addicted to hot Cheetos,
he even made them promise to bury him with a bag when he died.
he was super into politics,
and if they'd have him, Iris wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being the president.

Arjun was the resident curry fanatic, second to Iris of course...
he was as Indian as they got actually,
He was still afraid of his parents even though they were miles away,
And wouldn't even glance at a mimosa even if it was 80% orange juice.
ju joked that he'd probably die a virgin at the rate he was going.
once he accidentally brushed against Iris's boobs and he turned a dark shade of red,
so much so that she was actually concerned for him.

then there was Julian of course, his father was Korean and his mother was Caribbean.
he was special and as quirky as the union between his parents.
he hated wearing his glasses even though he was almost completely blind without them.
and his hair was jet black and would start curling if it got too long, which he made sure it never was.
he was super tall and skinny.
and was actually really good at writing poetry,
which was a fact he hid from his friends.

most times when they all hung out together,
Iris is reminded why diversity was so beautiful.
and the way how they all manage to end up together and remain friends made her wonder why racism was a thing.
