With my short, wavy hair
And my big nose
And my wide eyes
She
With her long, dark hair
And her button nose
And her thin, glass-framed eyes
Me
With my bumpy skin
And my thick thighs
And my prevalent stomach rolls
She
With her smooth, darker-tinted skin
And her skinny frame
And her delicately thin stomach
Me
With my heart stuck in the past
And my thoughts dark
And my tendency to latch onto any love I receive
She
With her heart wide open
And her mind an anxious battlefield
And her tendency to care a whole awful lot
Me
With my anger issues
And my negativity
And my isolating habits
She
With her watercolor spirit
And her quiet smile
And her small-town type personality
She's adorable in every meaning of the word
It's a nice refresher from past interests
Because, darling, I've finally found a work of art that won't leave me lying empty on the cold plane of reality.
