The Promise

The Question

***Beth***

"Morning guys ," I said . They all said morning .
"We came by to take you out for the day since you won't be here ," Cathy said as she stood up .
"Thanks guys . That's really thoughtful ," I said .
"Ready to go ?" Jake asked coming next to me .
"Can I eat breakfast before we go ?" I asked them .

"Yeah , take your time ," They said . I went out of the living room and into the kitchen .
"Ready ?" Alex asked Anna .
"Yeah ," She said and they left .
That didn't bother me because I like Jake.
He makes me happy and I fall in love with him more each day or any chance I get to hangout with him .

When I was done , we all went to the mall and met up with Evan and Cathy's boyfriend .
I didn't know it was going to be a tripple date hangout .
We went around the mall and did some shopping .
Jake went off somewhere when we went to one store .

He didn't come back until it was time for the movie we wanted to see .
"Where is Jake ?" Ally asked .
"I'm here ," He said appearing out of nowhere.
"Lets go ," Cathy said and we all followed into the movie theater.
"Where did you go off to ?" I asked Jake .

Ally and Cathy were far in front of us when Jake said ," I went to get you something ".
"Which is ?"I said .
"It's a surprise ," He said .
"Please ," I begged him .
"You would love it if you wait ," He said as he hugged me from behind and walked us up a little more .

"Fine ," I said as I turned to look at him .
Five minutes later I said,"But I really want to know what it is ".
"Beth ," He said .
"Sorry ," I said.
"Its okay , just wait okay ," He said .
"Okay ," I said and then we went to where the rest were.

We went into the movie theater once we bought our popcorn and drinks .
We sat down and waited for The Beauty and Beast to start.
When it did , I was really excited .
When the movie was done , and the lights came on , Jake removed his hand from behind my back and stood up said ," That was a great movie," .

"It was ," I said .
The others stood up and said ," I could watch that movie over and over again ".
We all went out of the movie theater and  went our separate ways .
While me and Jake were walking to get ice cream , I couldn't help but ask him again ," What is the surprise ?" .

"I am not telling you ," He said .
"Please , I am anxious to know what it is ," I said begging him .
"Be patient ," He said .
"Ugh ," I said .
He just laughed at my frustration and for that , I  hit him lightly on the chest .
We got our ice cream and sat down and talked while we ate them .

We finished our ice cream first and continued talking. I then realized that it was nighttime outside .
He saw me looking outside and said ,"Its nighttime already ".
"Yep," I said.
"Well that  what's happen when you talk to a beautiful girl for a while ," He said and I blushed and a huge smile came on my face .

"Ready to go ?" He asked .
"Yea ," I said .
We stood up and walked out the mall and to the car .
Once we reached home we both got out and Jake walked me to my door .
"Thank you for taking me out today ," I said.
"No problem ," He said . I was about to go inside when he said ," So you don't want your surprise again ?" .

"Oh yeah , my surprise ," I said excitedly.
He pulled out a box from his pocket and gave to me .
"What is it ?" I asked .
"Open it ," He said .
I opened it and saw a beautiful gold heart shaped necklace rounded with diamonds .

"Its beautiful ," I said as I took the necklace out of  its box .
"Just like you ," He said .
I blushed at what he said . He took the necklace and opened it  and turned me around to put it on .
I held my hair up for him to put it on me .
Once it was on me , I turned back around and said ," But you didn't have to get me this ".

"I wanted to ," He said . I smiled at what he said and then he said , "I had a fun night . I will see you tomorrow ".
"Bye ," He said .
I watched him drive off .
I opened the door and went inside . I closed the door but the box fell .
I picked it up  and a piece of paper .
There was writing on it .
It said

I really like you and I didn't want to ask you in person so , do you want be girlfriend ?
