The Promise

Sleepover

***Beth***

He went into the living room and came back out and he saw that I made his favorite .
"You don't like my favorite ". He said remembering that I don't .
"I use to make it once in a while and started to like it " .
He put the plates down and said  "Come with me "  .

He took me to the living room and I saw that there was a blanket over the boxes that made a fort. 
I haven't seen or made one like this since we were kids. 
"Alex , you made this ?".
"Yeah , I was thinking if I do the things I  did when we were kids , I would see where I went wrong ".

"Ohh ".
"And this is the first thing we did when you moved in next to me ".
"Thanks ".
I went back into the kitchen to get the plates and we went inside and we sat down .
We ate our food and then he asked "So , where did you come from before you came here ?".

I laughed and then I said "In a small town in the Caribbean ".
"Cool ".
"So why did you come here ?".
"My parents thought it would be nice to go live else where for a year ".
"So does that mean I will never see you again ?".

"Alex !".
"What ?".
"You already know the answer to that "  .
"No I do not " .
"Ugh , I am staying for than one year ".
"Good ".
We then ate our food and then Alex hesitated to do  something .

I remembered that when we kids , Alex gave me a kiss on th  check and said something.  
I said "Alex , you don't have to -
He cut me off and said "I want to ".
He kissed me on the check and said " I am glad I found you ".

We watched each other for awhile until he said "We should go to bed  ".
"Yeah ". I said and got up and put the dishes in the sink and washed them and went up to my room .
Alex knocked on my door and said "Goodnight ".
"Goodnight  ". I said back and instantly fell asleep .

**The Next Day **

I woke up did my morning stuff and came downstairs to see Alex eating breakfast .
" Morning ". I said .
"Morning ". He said .
The doorbell rang and I knew who it was .
It was Cathy and Ally .
They came in and saw Alex. 

Cathy said "Ugh , what are you doing here ?".
Alex said " And good morning to you too ".
"Why are there so many boxes ?". Ally asked .
"Well , Alex is moving in ".

"What ! ". They both said at the same shouting .
"Why ?". They both said again. 
"Because my parents thinks its best for the both of us ".
"No it is not ". Cathy said .
"That what I said ". Alex said getting up and putting his plate in the sink washing it. 

"Why would you say that since you have been trying to get Beth to forgive you ". Cathy said. 
"If that is what you think then no ". Alex said going to his room. 
"Wow " . Ally said  .

"We can still have a fun day ". I said
"Fine " .
We went up to my room and stayed there for a really long time. 
When it was dinner time , I went downstairs to make food for Cathy and Ally when I saw Alex eating dinner. 

"I made enough for all of us ". He said. 
"Thanks " I said .
I took enough for all of us and  went back up to my room .
They saw the food and said " That was fast ". Cathy said .
"No , Alex made food for all of us ".
"Ohh okay ". Cathy said. 
"That was nice of him ". Ally said .

"Yeah , I find he is really trying to win you back ". Cathy said .
"Yep ". I said .
And I like it .
When we were done , we all went downstairs and as usual we baked a cake. 

We just love to bake .
We ate it and then we went to see if Alex wanted any then we saw  that he was sleeping .
We put the icing we used on the cake on Alex 's face. 
When we were done , we all shouted " Alex ! ".

He woke up confused and rubbed his face and saw that his hands had icing on it .
He looked at us and he was very mad .
"Who did this ?". He asked.
"Beth ". Cathy and Ally both said at the same time. 
I didn't have time to say anything . Alex got up really quickly and chased me all over my house. 

He finally caught me and .....
