Zuri's POV
De'Shawn's been acting weird these past couple of days and I was going to ask him what was wrong but he kept avoiding me. I don't know what' he got going on but he needa get his act together fast before I slap the shit outta him.
"Come on Zuri you been in there since my father was conceived" De'Shawn yelled to her upstairs.
They were going to a fall festival with pumpkin patches, hay rides,corn mazes, and a petting zoo.
"I'm coming Dee, don't rush me." I said walking down the stairs.
I had on some uggs, black leggings, and a white crop top with a jacket snd her telfar bag.
"Finally took you 15 fucking years" De'Shawn huffed.
"Not too much, I'll take 15 years and more" I protested.
"Just go get in the car. It's already on and warm" He said following behind me as I walked out.
"What's the hell it look like I'm doing Shawn. You been acting weird lately, what's going on wit you?" I asked confused while getting in the car.
"Nothing is wrong you just taking too long." He said to me (Bars)
"No, you didn't hear me when I said you been acting like this for a week now. You been so antsy and rushing." I told him.
"It's nothing" He said as he put the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway.
At the festival
De'Shawn paid for their tickets and they went in.
"Where you wanna go first?" He asked her as I ain't gone lie was looking around at everything like a big ass kid.
"Ouu I wanna go to the petting zoo first."
"You wanna be around them stankin animals..?" He asked me concerned.
"Uhm yes very much. Now les go" I pulled him over to the petting zoo.
De'Shawn paid for our pellets to feed the animals and they fed the goats, pigs, horses, llamas, calves, etc.
"Zuri can we go, I'm starting to stank"
"Boy, you smell just fine. But we can go"
"FINALLY praise the lord" De'Shawn sad relieved.
"And you finna FINALLY get on my nerves" I said with a straight face.
De'Shawn smacked his lips. "Cmon we finna go on the hay ride"
"Ou I bet I beat you there" I said taking off to the truck.
"AYE" De'Shawn said catching up.
I made it to the truck first and waited for De'Shawn tapping my wrist.
De'Shawn finally made it and starts breathing heavily. "Damn."
"Took you 15 months to get here." I said to him.
"Shut up, I didn't do 5 different sports in school" he huffed.
"Well get up big boy, we finna ride."
We got on the ride and this girl started flirting with my man.
The girl started whispering to her friend and TRIED yes tried to get his name but failed much.
"What's your name handsome?" The girl asked.
"His name is not of your concern thank you." I said to her cus she think somebody fucking playing.
The girl and her friends mugged me.
"Do you need some help?" I gave her a stank look.
"Nope." The girl got quiet and I enjoyed the rest of the ride.
The ride was over and we got off.
"Atlanta bitches are disrespectful as hell" I said to Shawn.
"Foreal though, I'm ready to go Zuri"
"Okay I'm ready too"
We walked to the car and he opened the door for me and walked over to his side and got in.
"I'm hungry now" I said.
"Where you tryna go?" De'Shawn said starting the car up.
"Let's go to.....uhm" I was really thinking on what I wanted
"Cmon before you eat what's at the house" Shawn rushed.
"Okay I want.....Raising Cane's"
"Did allat thinking just to pick that" De'Shawn huffed and drove to the restaurant.
"I'm finna pick the hair out yo balls with some tweezers if you keep playing"
"Oh don't spoil me with a good time love"
Zuri rolled her eyes and they made it to the restaurant.
"Whatchu want?" De'Shawn asked me.
"Get me whatever" I told him scrolling on Instagram.
He ordered me some chicken strips and drove home.
I been done with Alonzo a month ago..why is he still trying to contact me?
