We were 10 minutes away from the hotel we booked
"Would it be a good decision for me to drink tonight?" he asked and I removed my eyes off the road once we came to a red light
God, he is so fine
He had his hair in a man bun. His hair has grown so much the past few months, it's now collar bone length. His stuble had grown out to a light beard. He had changed into something more laid back, a black hoodie and grey sweatpants.
It's taking everything in me to not look down.
His ocean blue eyes were focused on the GPS but then turned their attention to me once I didn't answer his question
"I know I'm hot but eyes on the road" I rolled my eyes before looking back at the road to see that the light was now green
"Cocky ass" I muttered "Huh?" I shook my head concealing my smile
"To answer your question. You know yourself and you know your limit. If you feel as though you won't exceed your limit then go for it. But if you feel as though you're not ready, then don't rush yourself"
I glanced over to see him nodding and taking in my words. I then return my attention back on the road, turning into the parking lot of the hotel
"Are you going to drink?" he asked me "I think I'll have a few shots, I don't really go clubbing much so I want to take advantage of this opportunity"
"I won't drink then, just in case you need me to take care of you" I felt my heart swell at his words
He's the sweetest and considerate man I've ever met
I parked the car and we got out the car.
I go to open the trunk when I felt someone burning holes through the side of my face. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
I turned my head slightly to see Darren with his eyebrow raised in utter disbelief "Uh-um- t-trying to get our bags..." he shook his head, gently pushing me aside
He opened the trunk and grabbed all our bag, I reach out to help him carry at least my bag but the second glare he sent me quickly had me retracting my hand.
"Efi when we're together, I don't want you carrying heavy things" "But I-" "You heard me right?" I nod
"Words, I need words sunshine" "Yea, I heard you" a gorgeous dimpled smile appeared on his face before he placed a kiss on my lips
