A Week Later

Long story short, Efi has been avoiding me like it was the 1340's and I was the Black Plague.

I've called her multiple times, she declined each one immediately. I went to the shop but she was on 'break'.

I even sent her, her favorite flowers with a note that said 'this is a big misunderstanding, please answer my calls' but I received the flowers back with a note that said 'I rather shove an 8 foot pole up my ass than talk to you'

I groan in frustration, this is so frustrating because it actually is a misunderstanding.

"You ok over there?" my good friend and coworker James asked

"No, I think I just ruined the second best thing that has ever happened to me" I run my hand through my hair

"You cheated on Liz?!" He looked at me in disbelief
"No no, I would never do that, we broke up anyways"

I mean I almost did but if you saw Efi that night, you would've too.

"You guys broke up??!! When was this? Where was I? Why wasn't I told this information until now?" I held back my laugh as he pushed one of the chairs in-front of my desk closer

He used his hands to signal for me to go on, I sighed

"It happened last week, we got into an argument over Efi and one thing led to another and we broke up"

"Thank God, she was a raging bitch. Remember when she thought I was your assistant and tried to send me across the street to get her Starbucks"
"Yea, she was a lot to handle"

"Talking about women in your life, I haven't see Efi around here this whole week"
"Yea that's my other problem, I kissed her hours after I broke up with Liz."

"I'm surprised you didn't do that sooner, she's fine as hell"

"Bro I promise you she snatched my whole soul with that one kiss" I sat back in my chair with a light smile on my face, reminiscing the kiss

"Ok so what's the problem?" I sighed for the millionth time today
"She thinks that I cheated on Liz with her, and she refuses to let me explain"
